| its probably down to the more you order the cheaper it becomes, I hazard a guess but I think that Leeds probably sell in excess of 2x the qty that Saints sell

I think you may need medical attention, that was a reasoned post!

| If you take the Rhinos badge off anything it will increase in value. Seems like simple economics to me

| Saints obviously have their own pricing structure and this will be relative to the cost per unit, but I doubt ISC will be charging such extrordinarily inflated prices on the basis of a marginally lower order.
I'm all for the fans helping to support the club by purchasing merchandise but there is a line between making a profit and ripping us off. People would be more inclined to purchase more if the prices were more reasonable.
£70 for a jacket that sells at Leeds for £47, sorry that's not reasonable. Leeds are clearly still making a good profit at that price too.

| Quote: FearTheVee "If paying an extra tenner for a fleece contributes to the club staying afloat, I don't really care. It would be different if my cash was going into the owner's pocket or to fund a leveraged buy out or whatever, but fact is that every penny counts at Saints and they are having to fleece (pardon the pun) the loyal supporters to keep the club alive until Halo Park opens.
'"
Spot on there, old bean. We have had the pleasure of watching a first rate team for many years now, it has to be paid for somehow, as does the new ground, training facilities etc. If you want to pay peanuts, you know what you'll get.

We're not exactly paying peanuts. We have a first rate team, decent ground and training facilities. We have a stadium redevelopment to fund aswell.
The above doesn't excuse Saints' over inflated prices fully.

| Quote: D.D. "For a start our crowds are very good for the size of club we are. There is a vastly over-inflated belief amongst some about what sort of crowds we should get. Ten years ago, I'd never have believed we could be averaging 11,000 to watch us in a dilapidated ground, despite paying over the odds prices.
The trouble is with fleecing the supporters, it creates bad blood and long term this is not good business. Saints business plan seems to revolve around getting everything here and now and we will worry about the future when it comes to it. Charge £35 for something and the possibility is another tenner might get spent on something else when you are there. Charge well over the odds at £45 and people won't be there to contemplate another purchase. It's just human nature.
Maybe if the club explained why the prices were so high, they'd get more sales with a bit of a sympathy vote. Try to hide it and make out the prices are normal and some people wake up to the fact that they are being treated as fools and rebel.
We know times are hard, we are aware that the club refuses to use its franking machine when it can get us to cough up and pick up stuff instead, but it goes down much better if you actually inform the people why this is happening and, even better, tell them that it is actually happening, rather than leaving them to guess.'"
DD in "lets moan about saints and the way they run things" shocker !

I agree with that. The cost puts me off buying stuff until the sale comes round.

| Quote: quinny "Looking at your merchandise range from ISC, and looking at Leeds Rhinos exact same products, I am wondering why such a dramatic difference in price ??? I think also Hull FC are also way below your prices.
I would expect a major city like Leeds to be getting premium prices in comparison to St Helens etc......
Rhinos Hoody £30,
Saints Hoody £45
We need the money more !!!
In fact it would help greatly if some of you whino's bought our merchandise.

Yeah but you have also a shed load of cash from selling an option to purchase some of the ground to YCC.

How much have you raised from the sale of KR to property developers?

| Its obvious why Saints' gear is more expensive when compared to their counter parts...
Its the new Saints RL brand, of course!
Why do we want to appeal to the likes of Bill, Fred and Jack from Parr when the real potential lays with the Toby's, Olly's and Lewis's from more affluent pastures?
Makes sound business sense to me. RL world watch out! Saints RL brand is trailblazing a path towards you!!
