you can also hear him being accused of 'attacking the eyes' which would be unforgivable frankly and if true should be him banned for the rest of the season, i dont know if it was though as i didnt see it myself
and you see the pushing away smith did 10 times a game, had it not been so soon after the maurie incident i doubt Gilmour would have reacted, he lost his cool a little

As long as the Leeds player(s) are punished the same, then we have consistency and this sort of tackle can be removed from the game.'"
If you remember last season, there was a furor surrounding Clint Newtons chicken wing tackle, he was found guilty of something like, a tackle not in keeping with the spirit of the game, he personally appeared at Red Hall, and told them that the technique had been coached to him in Aus, no ban but £300 fine.

I’ve been to some away games over the years mate so don’t knock me. Yes I’ve ran into some financial trouble and also the match was on sky. I’ve seen Leeds beaten by Hull Kr away and the worse one was when Warrington totally thrashed us at the HJ.
I get to what I can get to. Like it or lump it!
Quote: Shawy "How about Leeds singing "the refs a *r" (Saints sang it as well)'"
More than aware mate that Leeds fans are just as bad as saints fans and should of introduced that in my original post. But I’m campaigning against vile chanting as you will able to see here -
forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=399317&start=0
Hopefully the whole RLFANS network will get behind me and promote healthier chanting because this stuff does not belong in a family stadium as I’m sure you’ll agree.

Why??? Perhaps you mis-understood what I was trying to say. .. If Smith did bite him, he got everything he deserved, that's all. If he didn't, then it's a different matter.

Bo££ox, I used my sky plus, its as clear as day, If he's cited (as he should be) he's going to cop a ban, I suppose he could get Diskin to defend him, he's usually good at spouting his gob off at lost causes.

I'll be honest if bailey gets stuck in it's cheap shot scum and coward etc etc.
When you watch the replay of the tackle gilmour is clearly giving smith a facial and also very close to his eyes which imo is wrong then he reacts when smith pushes him????
WTF!!
It's something i've never seen from gilmour but it wasn't called for and whilst he's punching him wilkin is still holding smith yet you got the penalty!!

| If you watch it again you'll see it is Wilkin who is on the receiving end of Gilmour's attempted handbags. Also, it will be interesting to see what caused Burrows injury......a miss judged tackle, or Long's forearm or elbow that caused the injury.
How's Fash doing? Now that was a hit!

FFS It was Longy's knee that caught the Hobbit. He was limping for a couple of minutes afterwards. The lad needs to re-think his tackling technique or his career aint gonna last much longer. Not the first time he's been seriously concussed when attempting a tackle.

Others/jack.jpg A well rested Giants side will rip it up in the playoffs. - Wigsey - 15/07/13:Others/jack.jpg |

| Quote: phil webbo "It was clearly Senior on Roby, hope he's cited and banned, it must be coached into the Rhinos, and they just don't show any respect for the officials, they just won't accept any decisions,
I might be missing something here, are you on something? You are complaining about the Leeds players lack of respect for officials and their perceived inability to accept any decisions (Though they clearly accept decisions in their own favour). To a certain extent I agree, it has seemed to creep in to the Leeds game and the game in general since the start of this season.
However I can only assumme you dont get to see Stains much. If you did you would realise that saints players especially the likes of wellens, long and cuningham have turned showing a lack of respect for the officials and an ability to accept any decisions against them with all the grace of a pre school child into an art form over the last few years.
You sir are a hypocrite!

I have noticed it has been a general condition of our game over the past four years or so amongst every team not just in suprleague but in all divisions in general. Lest we go the way of the round ball the time has come to set this deversion aside. GREATER CLARITY IN THE INTERPRETATION OF THE WAY THE RULING OF THE CODE OF OUR GAME IS UTILISED BY OUR REFEREES. This statement has both positive and negative affects. I think it should be up to every official in attendance of their respective games to interpret the rules as they see best to encourage a free-flowing and expansive game but bear in mind that said rules and regulations are ultimately punishable by infringement. The best referees and linesmen let the game flow allowing for these interpretations.
Who here has witnessed a great game that has all the ingredients like skill, proffesionalism, toughness and biff and has come away thinking what part did the officials play?
Answer: very little cause they let the game flow and only intervened when absolutely necessary?
The best games are the free flow games cause thats when great rugtby happens.
Or am I wrong?
