What is the difference in what JJB did then, and an actual chicken wing tackle? ? ?

| I thought 'chicken wing' was simply a colloquialism for a tackling technique involving undue pressure on the joint when pushing the arm and shoulder back. At least that is what was described a few months back when Boots'n'All visited the wrestling place where both Saints and Wigan players have trained previously. Good wrestling technique does not involve putting undue pressure on joints.

| We all know the RFL bottle it when it comes to banning players with important games coming up. This is the same for every side, i can`t believe people are getting wound up about it, when eveyrone knew any bans would only be 1 match. Ive seen Saints players get away with it, along with lots of other players, so we can`t moan. One thing i will say, that no one seems to have mentioned, and i will stand corrected if i`m wrong, is that, i seem to remember earlier in the season Fasa`valu being found guilty of the same thing JJB did to Graham and im sure he got 2 matches for it, can`t seem to work out the difference between them myself?

No, he got one match ban. He didn't get all pathetic about it though like peanut head but just took the consequences like a man (and his was recognised as unintentional also).

Ask the RFL
I didn't deem it not to be a chicken wing tackle.

He got 1 match and £300 fine same as JJB, it's just the delirium by some Saints fans about it happening to one of you players that is keeping the Leeds trolls here.

You obviously have NOT read the written submissions made by the Saints player the club coach et al involved.

Glad you finally agree JJB was not intentionally trying to injure Graham.

Like Potter trying to drag up a earlier game and a different tackle to defend Mary???
[i"The player received treatment and played on. Mr Potter added that there was a tackle in the first round where a technique was being used which injured two of the St Helens players which was 'knees into the calfs' which needs to be raised - players were purposefully trying to do this whereas Maurie's is a one off incident"[/i

That was my understanding too. It seems like Leeds pushed that it wasn't technically a chicken wing tackle, because he used his body rather than his hands n arm to cause the same position of the arm and the same damage.
I don't think it really matters what its called. It is purposefully trying to injure a player by bending his arm back. Should have got a larger ban.

This is just a wild guess but I bet you think Mauries was different and not intentional and didn't warent more than a one match ban?
