| What's James Tilley doing at the moment?
It was interesting that he featured at hooker for the Widnes game.
He looked undersized but enthusiastic when he played backrow for the firsts in the past, if his service is good, hopefully he could make a fist of hooker.
Reports always said that he led the way in the u19s (is he captain?) in terms of the physical battle.
it would be nice to be able to spell Robe's a little this year.

What happened to the England U18's hooker who played for Saints academy? I think he originated from Widnes or Warrington. I remember speaking to his parents pre-match at Bradford a year or two ago when he was playing for England academy v France.

Dom Speakman? He was released last year and signed for one of the Cumbrian clubs.

He clearly gave better service than Nathan Ashe, who he came on for, but Brown persisted with the likes of Ashe and Howarth. I'm not sure why.

He had potential and so we offered him a new contract. However, he wanted to play week in week out. Saints could obviously not guarentee that so he went looking else where. He now plays stand off at Barrow and is a Personal Trainer.
He would still be at the club and playing in the under 20s/21s if it hadn't been scrapped. All thanks to those idiotic and incompetent SL chairman that voted to get rid of it.

| They had a good win over Castleford last night. Apparently Dan Abram was the star performer.

The club (on Twitter) gave praise to Lewis Charnock, Liam Cooper, Jake Spedding and Adam Saunders. Lewis Charnock seems to get a regular mention. The score was 40-28 to us.

Glad he's still playing, especially within London. I enjoyed reading the story of the Hoists rebirth. Thanks for the link.

Whenever I have seen him Charnock play, I have been impressed. He has been given the u19s captaincy this season which I think has raised his game a lot more.
It is interesting that in a lot of our under 19s games this season, Charnock has been playing loose forward. I think that this is certainly the position that the coaches think is his best. He gives us another kicking option in general play in this position (kicked two 40-20s in one game a couple of weeks ago). He is a very handy goal kicker too.
He has definately got what it takes to be a super league player. I would love too see him play lots of games at 13 next season.

Charnock is a quality player and should be given a chance IMO. He's got a great kicking game and frequently kicks 40/20s in the 19's games. Adam Saunders also seems to be getting a few tries lately. Apparently been out injured since the Australia tour last October but has now scored 7 tries in his last 4 games, including a hatrick last week against Huddersfield. It says he's a fullback/centre on the website but been playing wing since he returned. Seems like a versatile back player.
