| Once he is gone at the end of the season we should use a large part of his wage to extend big Alex's contract to a long term one.

| Quote: bewareshadows "Ok I'm all for open debate, but less than 24 hours after a fabulous win we are already focused on the negative.
I mean how depressive are we??? Yes Perry did little, but Walmsley did fantastic, surely we can leave the Perry and Lance threads until we lose again. It's only a week away.
The Sun is out, we had a good win all is good in my world. At least for 24 hours.'"
It's balance, it makes up for the annoyingly positive posts some members insist on posting after we've just been drubbed by trash like London and Widnes
Anyways it cant be denied , Ashe and Perry were just 2 black spots in an otherwise reasonably bright performance.

Indeed not all the clubs did, Saints and Wigan are two that voted against it.

| I'd be happy to not see him in a Saints shirt again, waste of salary cap space and is doing Greenwood out of game time.

He should be back of the queue in the squad at the moment based on current form.

| Quote: Saddened! "He's having a mare of a season. But I'd like to know how much of it is him and how much is Brown. He has only played 15 minutes of games recently, but the effort is there during those minutes. The question is why he's not given more time in games? If that's Brown's idea, it's harsh to criticise Perry.
During the time he was on we barely had the ball, conceding possession early on every set until he went off pretty much. He made a few tackles and was taken off. You'd have to get Brown to explain that.'"
He is knackered through injuries and the desire is not there. He just wants to be on the market stall with his wife until they go back, it is not the fault of the coach

| Something to bare in mind in defence of Perry.
Perry played over 200 games in the NRL in a 10 year career encompassing state of origin and Australian caps into the bargain. A forward who was lazy would have been easily found out, and so would not have had such an excellent career.
This makes me think that his current lack of fitness/form is down to injury. It wouldnt surprise me if he is putting his hand up to play and getting needled up pre match, just so he can get on the park and help out his team mates. Knowing however that his body cant handle more than 20 minutes.
The question then is whether this is the right thing for the player and coaching staff to do. I dont think it would be, but perhaps they see even a small contribution as helping the cause.

| 10 - 15 minutes of Perry though , could have been replaced with a full fit clough. I can see what you mean, but in terms of effectiveness I don't think it's a great idea for anyone, least of all the player who is going to end up getting more injuries on top of his current.
If you are needled up, then you are not going to feel the knocks as bad until the needle wears off.
I'm not expecting him to swan off back to oz like some. But I would hope he can get himself back to full fitness ready for the end of season. If we got the best out of Perry for the last 7 games, then at least we get the best out of him rather than just push him out to earn his corn.

| Our Josh in his intensive spell made 7 tackles and missed 2 of them, he also made 2 carries for an enormous 8 metres.
I think forwards should be paid on the amount of yardage they make, Walmsley would be on a fair amount of coin by now.

Flanders was also SOO and he was distinctly average (but slightly better than Perry).
This isn't just a current form / injury issue; he has not remotely come near to setting the world on fire since his arrival.
However good he may have been in Oz, he is just poor now and not worth his place in our 17.
