I'm amazed at how there was no mention of the Warriors in the article that was linked to in the thread. It's as if RL doesn't exist at that stadium or indeed in Wigan. For all that we may be called scousers and other such insults (  ), at least we're still a rugby league town (if we're a sporting town at all, I mean) with soccer 12 miles up the road (assuming Everton don't park their ugly butts in Kirkby at any rate). |

i thinks it funnier that some of them are pretending not to care
after the crying and whinging last year about having to go to Widnes, this is a fantastic move by Whelan. It is his stadium, and he is making sure that the Pies know it. |

Indeed, he has them over a barrel and he knows it. They have nowhere else to go realistically and even though He needs there income so he can have an all year round stadium he knows they dont have much choice. From a Rugby point of view I would like to see Wigan break away and get there own stadium (and have nothing to do with the latics) but I cant see it happening especially not in the current economic climate.
It's like us playing in the Morrisons Stadium lol .. |
