| Quote: SaintsFan "Except this isn't amateur rugby and no way did Bentman know whether Huby had a head injury or not. The guy didn't move. He was flat out. That looked like a head injury from the East Stand. We thought he had clashed heads. It was totally wrong not to stop play just as it was when Silverdud didn't stop play for Wheeler on Friday. Why should a team have to defend with 12 men other than as a punishment? Poor form, that was.'"
He did move, he held his hand up to ask for the medic, so wasn't unconscious

Fair enough, I didn't see that. But I still don't agree with Bentman allowing the play to go on like that, just as I didn't agree with it at Wigan (and Saints fans at Wigan were booing like mad about that, so let's not be one-eyed about this, eh? )

| Quote: SaintsFan "I agree. We got lucky at the end. Meli had been a lazy butt all game and then decides to deprive me of some abusive posts on here by scoring the match leveller. We know how you feel. We were the same on Friday. We were all over Wigan until Hoffman took out Wheeler. We still came back and were in the lead in the second half, but we lost. It's a real sickener and it took me all weekend to get over it. You were the better team today. But we got lucky at the end there and I can't give you those two points back. Sorry. We need them!
Best of luck for the rest of the season though.'"
Harsh to say he was lazy. He was constantly shouting for the ball but no one give him any!

I cant agree with that pal. He rightly blamed the referee (James Child) after there game with Hull FC earlier in the season actually I think Cas won that game. He blasted his own team after losing a lead on Good Friday and today I must admit some of the officials decisions left me baffled.

TBF its not benthams responsibility, he was following the play as he should. his touch judges and the 4th official should (and probably did) inform him

| I'll be honest, after we got the rough end of the stick on Friday at Wigan and with our crippling injury list, I have little sympathy with Castleford and Matterson to be honest. We may have got one or two calls but the ref hardly gifted us the game.

| Big shout out for Meli - despite being anonymous for most of the game, as soon as he got the ball in his hands at the end it was obvious there'd be no stopping him.
A match winning performance that had Iro written all over it.

If we hadnt kept trying to miss him out and go straight to foster, he'd have bagged a few more, IMO

True.
He was unbelievably lazy yesterday, a disgraceful performance effort wise, but a typically brilliant finish from him. When he puts his mind to it, he's a fantastic player.

a tad harsh, IMO they kept missing him out of the line, looking for the big pass straight to Foster, when they finally gave him the ball, he showed why he was deserving of his 2 yr deal

| He was similar at Wigan, although I understand he has just come back from injury so I'll give him a bit of slack. I'd still expect him to go looking for a bit more work though, like Shenton did.

| Very good game played by 2 very good teams. Some times you have to take the good with the bad. Even though i'm as gutted as you no doubt were on Friday, I'll look at the positives. We gave you a very good game and have obviously proven we've made 100% progress on last year and are a match for anyone. The superleague is getting stronger and that's what we all want. All the best saints fans see ya next year.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| The player at fault was the Castleford player who wrongly kicked the ball up into the air with 2 minutes only to go when winning! a kick into touch would have slowed the game right down and would there have been enough time after the scrum to go down field and score, but like wrong referee decisions we will never know?

| What stick did Richie Mathers get? And how did he react? Heard he reacted to some abuse from Saints fans.

I think it was all on Twitter post-match, rather than at the game.
He posted a couple of tweets about how they'd had nothing from the ref, but what seemed to trigger it was a tweet he sent to Lee Smith about bad reffing calls (again) and reporting that "that winger" kicked a goal to win it.
Some Saints fans felt it was deliberately disrespectful to Foster.
Summat and nowt, really.
