| I thought quinlan was also a bit shakey under the high kicks. He let's a few bounce.
I would not say garbage but not the solution for us at fb.

Has he ever dropped a high ball? I think he was pretty safe on kicks.
Either him or Leon Felton is the worst fullback I've ever seen in saints shirt

| I don't think he was great, but I don't think he was as bad as is being made out. The only problem I had with him was his actual tackling (he NEVER looked like making a one-on-one tackle, although that seemed to change last night). I enjoyed watching him in attack, and despite his small stature he won pretty much all of the bombs put to him. The try he created at Warrington stands out, 9/10 players either take the tackle or panic pass and lose the chance, he remained calm and put it on a plate. Certainly don't think we should sign him or anything of the sort, but I thank him for coming over and doing well in a position we had no options in.

His attack was awful and if you understand the game you'll know how important that first carry is on kick returns and his kick returns (if didn't pass to swifty) was one of the main reason we had no momentum getting out of our half

| Have some respect. The lad was 5th choice whobcame over on the cheap and left all his friends and family behind. He did a job. Would I keep him ? No but I thank him for his efforts

Swift and Makinson are also culprits of this.

Swifty returns the ball pretty well. Tommy is poor at this and Quinlan woeful

| Makinson was starting to look dangerous on kick returns before his injury. I am more worried about the constant use of the backs to bring the ball out of our own 20. We needed the forwards to make the yards in the last 20 minutes on Friday and almost every ball was taken by a back or 2nd row.

| Personally I thought Quinlan did well for us and was certainly not the reason we finished 4th or lost to Leeds.

This is one of the reasons I slagged off Masoe throughout his stay here. I know he's an 'impact' player but when your team mates are desperate, knuckle in and help them.
Quinlan really helped us a lot but I don't think he's a top 8 standard player and although I'm grateful as a fan for his efforts in the shirt, I'm glad we're not keeping hold of him.

| Surely he did all that could be expected as an emergency mid-season signing due to injuries? What you saw is exactly why he won't be an NRL player long term, but then again if you expected Billy Slater from a reserve grade Aussie you deserve to be disappointed.

| Not fussed whether we keep him. Although a lot depends on the size of the contract.

| With Lomax and McDonnell already contracted surely there isn't room for him anyway. Not that I would keep him, certainly not as a full-back. His kick return or lack thereof has already been mentioned, he did come up with some important plays though. More suited to the halves for me although he would be spotted more than Walsh I suspect. Good luck to him.

Indeed. Leaving aside the question of whether he would actually be any good with the ball at half back (he does seem to have some of the required qualities), the thought of him defending in the line gives me cold chills. He'd be having to tackle centres and big back rowers front-on, and I think he's missed every single front-on tackle he's had to make in a Saints shirt.

People don't realise how important lomax is to our attack. Some weeks it's like the lomax show. She puts fear into defences and they stand off him as he's unpredictable'"
When he actually plays... I feel it's make or break for him in 2016
