....and look at them now.
I'm getting a bit sick of McDermott spouting off; he'll probably deny to Rod Stud he ever said anything about Dr Cashcow.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good pointless argument.
Koukash's money is most welcome in the game , it's just a shame he isnt. The bloke is a plank and an embarrassment and McDermott is entitled to voice his opinion on the matter if he chooses to do so, it't not like he's playing politics to unsettle a rival , Salford are that far behind Leeds in pretty much every aspect of the game you'd need the Hubble telescope to see them.

| The Doctor is very alienated in the game with most of it self inflicated. I wonder if prior or during the purchase of the club he has actually visited the successful clubs to see how a professional club is run.
Most clubs are run with a degree of stability and transparency, the Doctor seems to be running things off the cuff and tripping himself up in the process, hopefully Sheens experience might rub off on the Doctor and gets the club on the right footing instead of him trying to justify his methods of running a club.
He needs to low profile himself to avoid further alienation, listen and learn, otherwise he might not last another 12 months

London have never been in administration.

| Quote: Saint Simon "Do you have any grasp of how companies work? You can go bust today and wind up the company then restart tomorrow with an extra dot or (uk) or (northwest) etc after your official name.
As I said, might not make it a super league or even championship club, but they would survive and rebuild.
A great example of this is effectively fc Wimbledon'"
That depends on what you mean by 'go bust'. If you go into administration that means the administrator takes over. The administrator can sell assets (eg players) to meet running costs and debts, as was the case at Bradford during one of their periods in administration. However, for a company to come out of administration there needs to be a buyer and until Dr K came along there was no buyer for Salford. Thankfully he came along before the club was placed in administration so no assets had to be sold.
There have been plenty of clubs that have folded, ie they have gone into administration and then liquidated or just liquidated. Blackpool was the most recent one I know of. That club no longer exists.

Actually I think the opposite is true - he would have been better picking the club up through Administration as it would have given him the leverage to renegotiate certain key agreements, notably the stadium deal and the council loan.
But I would imagine that building from the Championship wouldn't have suited his thirst for publicity.

Yes but if he had done that they would have gone to the Championship instead of errr heading for the Championship like they are heading to this year

They might have been able to win a few games, then.

When they lost Chase to his long suspension and a couple of key players to injury during their Challenge cup game against Leigh they were on a winning streak and in fourth position in the table. Had they not lost that momentum through injuries and suspensions Salford may now have been in the top eight.

Every team gets injuries, we've lost countless this year and still right up there

In fairness, we've got more depth through:
1 - Having lots of quality juniors - something that takes years to develop properly
2 - Being a top team. The reason players are willing to be squad players for the likes of us and Leeds is that we have chances at silverware. Salford etc can't offer that at the minute, so have to pay overs.

Yeah, but when you build a squad with guys like Chase (and Hock) you're going to have big ups and big downs.
I want the Salford revolution to go well, for a number of reasons, but it does seem like Marwan just throws mud at the wall until something sticks.
I like having Marwan about, although the last press conference was a step too far, for me. I wouldn't, however, want him as the chairman of my club.
