Actually, the extra home fixtures don't all go to the SL sides. The ranking goes like this:
1: SL 9th
2: SL 10th
3: CH 1st
4: CH 2nd
5: SL 11th
6: SL 12th
7: CH 3rd
8: CH 4th
Clubs ranked 1-4 get 4 home games, those ranked 5-8 only get 3.

It's only 4th v 5th that play off. The top 3 and bottom 3 in the middle 8 go their separate ways automatically. |

Yes. It's just a straight 80 minute shoot out to see who goes into Super League and who goes into Championship for 2016.
So bottom 4 in SL and top 4 in Championship join together to form middle 8. All points return to 0.
Everyone plays each other once. After 7 matches, the top 3 win a place in SL for 2016 and the bottom 3 are in the Championship.
4th v 5th play each other to decide the final spot in both leagues. |

Is it possible to trade your top 4 season ticket for a bottom 8 one? IMO the middle 8 is going to be the 'Game of Thrones 8', there will be bodies everywhere. Going to be some mighty games there.
