I thought Sav put in a excellent stint today when we was down and out.

I wish we would stop making ridiculous decisions to go for 2 when we have momentum and it provides us no tactical advantage at all.

It cost us the home game against Hull and coupled with the ridiculous decision to go for a drop goal nearly cost us the game today. In the last 5 minutes the territory was far more important than a point or two which doesn't make a difference.

Hardly a classic performance but a gutsy win.

Both wingers came up with huge plays at crucial times and Roby was freakish as normal.

Savelio and Thompson took the game to them 2nd half.

I thought sav had his best game in saints shirt. Very mature performance from a young lad when the pack was getting overrun.

Not pretty. But plenty of guts and determination. Again.

Eight games ago the wailing brigade was telling us Leeds would finish ten or twelve points ahead.

Now the gap is down to a single point.

Makinson's hit at the end when they had an overlap won us the game.

He's been a massive disappointment for me. He should be controlling games for us especially in Walsh's absence but the buck always seems to fall with Wilkin.

Massive win for us that, possibly the biggest of the season with Wigan winning yesterday and Leeds obviously losing. Great effort to keep Wire scoreless in that 2nd half. Hopefully we can get Percival and Walsh back very soon to improve our attack.

I think Burns has a chronic injury. I think he picked it up toward the end of his first season at HKR. Whatever the case - his pace and speed off the mark is gone.

Did Saints know about it before signing him? I assume so.

Burns might not present the same attacking threat he once did. But there are few tougher competitors currently wearing a Saints shirt. You'd have to kill him to get him off the pitch.

LMS, Turner and Makinson really stood out for me in a positive way.

I was throwing things at the TV today when Flanaghan kept messing up.
Wilkin in the first half was also making quite a few errors.

But they really dug deep the second half.

I'd say that Warrington were also a bit poor with the dropped ball too.

No a classic for the neutral, but a tough test for both sides.

I am really pleased for all those who are chuffed to bits with the amount of game time Walsh has delivered. Personally I am disappointed.

Just as importantly do you know when Greenwood and Vea might be back as they plus the players above would massively improve the team again ?

Well done to the players today for hanging on for a win. It is important to be able to win when we are far from our best.

We also need the two second rowers back, well at least one to replace Flanagan who adds nothing whatsoever to the attack.

Flanagan has never been big in attack but go back 12 months & he used to put 2 or 3 big hits in a game that really hurt the opposition but even this aspect of his game seems to have deserted him atm.

I was ready for sacking Flanaghan at half time.

If Greenwood was not out, I don't think he would be having game time.

I think Greenwood and Vea are due back in August, (assume here I've written in the standard exceptions that people feel the club should state so as not to mis-lead people about player returns).
