I agree. Much in the same way that I'd agree Greg Inglis would be a better option than Tommy Makinson. But the chances of acquiring either are slim to say the least. In any case, the club (not to mention the game) cannot sustain wage inflation in the context of the salaries NRL players are currently paid.
It's no co-incidence that since clubs have been forced to tighten their belts we're currently producing good quality youngsters at a far higher rate than at any point over the last forty years.
