It needed saying

Does anyone else think Mr Mac might get into trouble from the RFL for such a critical statement about the officiating and disciplinary? Not suggesting he's not right but they don't like it when people point out how poor they are.

Must say I don't really see Flower as an emotionally vulnerable 25 year old "boy".

I think there's a pretty heft dig at the culture at Wigan and the attitude the players are perhaps sent onto the field with in that statement.

Sensible ban and a sensible statement from Sir Mac.

I think that was a belittlement from McManus from a victorious position of authority. McManus is a master of words.

He's actually missing 11 league games

Is it a full ban from the day of the incident? ie 10/10/14 - 10/04/14

Or from October to April

If it's just to April, then eh em it's Good Friday 1st game back.

Ps if you look there were a few Wiganers who were cited this week.

6 months from today I believe.

Banned from all club related rugby activity until 14th April 2015.

All club activity? So no training with the team till 15th of April? That's really like a 7/8 month ban in reality

That's a pretty weighty ban.

To be honest from a justice point of view it seems fair.

From a PR point of view it seems short sighted by a few days.

I think it's pretty harsh IMHO. It's effectively 11 game ban. I thought 8 match would have been about right.

The RFL have now set the marker for futre bans.
