He's the most naturally gifted forward I've seen tbh but his baggage outweighs his talent and teams lack of success with him in it would be a worry for me if I were a Saints fan. He has never won a major trophy in his career for one reason or another.

In saying all that he's possibly worth the risk for Saints because you lack aggression and a nasty streak. You wouldn't be as easy to bully with Hock and Burns in your team.

As another point - what kind of transfer fee would be actually acceptable? given it's pretty split at just the thought of taking him!

Maybe with a signing like Burns, McManus is quickly realising that 'nice' doesn't win you trophies.

Koukash supposedly bought him for 100k - given the fact he's transfer listed he can't demand 1/4 of that, but how low to go before it's reasonable for both parties?

In other news I've heard some good news and bad.

Walsh will sign for a 3rd year depending on how his injury pans out but Swift is looking for a move.

If swift is wanting out (doubt it) he needs to give his head a wobble

My guess is he's upset about being left out of the team when so many are saying it's unfairly so, we all say were quitting when were frustrated with work to our friends and what we'd like to do to our boss etc - doing so is an entirely other matter.

I'd take Hock. I've intensely disliked him over the years but he's exactly what our pack needs, anyone in the red vee gets my support, apart from if we signed Greg Johnson.

As for Swift, he's under contract until end of 2017 so we could command a decent fee if he does push for it. As it is, I'd like him to stay and he needs to play this week for me.

Didn't Koukash say he will be free to go as long as the commercials made sense (or words to that effect)? I would assume he'd want to cover his investment, but who knows.
