Jinx
Lms would have scored with the play on call imo.

I'd not loose any sleep to see thw whole lot gone for next year. Replaced by 2 class players and the rest promote youngsters.
Brown, Lolesi, Cunningham andmost of all Joey Heyes. Get shut and a new team in.

I agree, leave LMS out of that list though.

You can't be serious. I'd lose sleep cause we'd have about 11 players on the team.
I agree we need a strength and conditioning coach the like that Wigan & Leeds have and maybe to ship 2/3 of those players but that post is ludicrous.

It raises a more general question of how our squad will shape up next year though. I can only hope our silence in the player market is because were quietly beaveri away at specialist off field staff ...

I agree but you can't lose that many players and expect to compete, getting Burns in to partner Walsh is a great move and Vea will add size. Who we lose/sell is critical to where we end up next season.

| Our youngsters have proved time and time again they can step up. Leeds at home etc.. just because they're not experianced players does not make them a poorer option. For example i'd take Richards, Thompson, Savelio and Greenwood over Laffranchi any day of the week.
2 or 3 top class SL players and we would be laughing. Take them players away and add the likes of Todd Carney and Willie Tonga (who have both signed for Catalans) and Hock into our pack and we would'nt be far off.

Fair enough- from where I was sat it looked like it had hit a few players - just watched it back in tv and Taai doesn't play at that-the ball hits his shoulder- but you know what. Karma is a bitch!

Lomax
Makinson Percival Jones Swift
Burns Walsh
Amor Roby Walmsley
Lms Vea
Turner
Hohaia Thompson Masoe <new prop>
McDonnell, Wellens, Dawson, Hewitt,
Savelio, Greenwood, Beaumont, Richards
Would be a semi realistic 25 man squad for next year (unfortunately were stuck with Wilkin). We'd be very green in the reserves, but I'd be happy to sacrifice that for another top quality player ... Anyone know if Graham is bored of Sydney yet?

If you've run up towards a kicker, and the ball hits you from the kick, then it doesn't matter where it hits you or if you've turned your back, it's deemed as playing at the ball, because your purpose in legging it towards the kicker was to block the kick, which you've done !

| Although I don't like our players much, Wigan are proving again that it simply isn't about having the best players anymore. It's not the team with the best 17 that wins trophies like it used to be. It's about mentality, culture and commitment, things we lack massively.
Wigan are the reigning champions. The quality of their squad has been consistently eroded over recent seasons yet they always remain in the hunt for trophies. They are better coached than we are, Brown is simply awful and his backroom staff simply isn't getting the results. Wigan are also far more commited than we are, in the same position tonight they would have won the game.
That is what needs to change and IMO it won't until McManus and Brown go.

You were doing so well.
Commitment wasn't the problem tonight. What we needed was showing that level of commitment week in week out. But as I'm sure you'd be quick to point out if we did, what's the point? You only need to do it in the last couple of games in the season.
I do wish you'd move past your blaming McManus phase. Without him there wouldn't of been a club successful or not!

It's like the Wello situation. Just because someone did something great for the club, something truly noteworthy in the club's entire history, it shouldn't mean that gives them the entitlement to just sit there and live off that forever.
I'm not suggesting we stage a blobby-led siege on the Directors box brandishing AK47s, but if McManus isn't interested in winning trophies he should pass the baton. We're apparently coming to a stage where we'll stop the horrendous losses, seems a perfect time to sell up to me. Sell it to someone who wants to deliver a successful sporting side with a stable business, not just a successful business like McManus does.
We're at what 7 years without a major trophy now? 10 will pass soon and we'll be back into the very dark days where trophies were out of reach. This current side won't win any major trophies (Excluding the cap here) under Brown. It doesn't matter who we sign, it won't happen. McManus won't sack him though, he'll wait till he leaves or just not renew his deal. The whole club just needs to remember what it once stood for and what it once tried to achieve. It needs to get some passion back. Get a coach who fist pumps and swears at people and wears cool shades even in the dark.

McManus was as gutted as some of the players after the game. He has 1 thing on his mind, and that is trophies.
He is stepping down in 2018 as the accounts show. I get the distinct impression everything will now be geared towards him leaving riding on the back of success. Even if Cas win tomorrow and the playoffs go as many assume, it's not necessarily a bad thing. It just has to be used in the right way ... Whether Brown is capable of that is another discussion...

there were 2-3 players offside from the play the ball who were near the ball when it bounced they should ahve been called and maybe why it was called offside.
