| LMS and Turner are definately two.
LMS should be ashamed that a 18 year old prop forward out performed him. I think Brown will go with Richards over LMS for the rest of the season now imo.

Can't see Richards being fit for Monday. SOL took care of that for us.

You guys think there was much in that?
Trying to be unbiased but I didn't see a great deal in it. The lad slipped and instead of Lockers hitting him round the chest he got him a bit higher.
Seemed a genuine accident to me.

Turner had cut them out of his game almost completely last year, and only his previous reputation was stopping fans from other clubs seeing it imo - he really was top class - unfortunately after starting in a similar vein, he seems to have slipped back 18 months to the error prone liability he's been in the last month or so.
I was very skeptical when we signed him, and he completely won me over - he's now undoing all the good work. Hopefully he can turn it around sooner rather than later.

Couldn't tell at the game and fast forwarded it when watched it back.

Yeah, looked very calculated. He aimed for the head and got it. I've not watched it back, but a lot of those around me thought it was an elbow with his arm tucked across his chest. If that was the case it's a clear ban as it's an illegal tackling style. I saw it more as a swinging arm. Doesn't matter either way though as it's a 1-2 sort of offense and you've got byes over the next couple of weeks so it won't matter.
The whooping and hollering and back slapping whilst a young player is hurt by a clear high tackle was in poor taste as well. Professional players should be able to judge that it wasn't actually an impressive big hit and was rather a pretty sly high shot on a young player.

| LMS - im going to be interested to see the stats, but imo Richards completely and utterly outplayed him, and was on the whole completely anonymous, also think he's been under performing for quite a while.
Turner - I was underwhelmed when we signed him, proved me completely wrong, and then has reverted to type. I wrote last week off as a bad day at the office, but now it's 2 in a row. He can be great, but his tackling technique was embarrassing today.
flanaghan - people have been calling for him to get a spot in the team, but what did he offer to the team? If LMS got outplayed by Richards, flanaghan can simply be happy Savelio didn't get selected, because from what we've seen so far, he'd of got completely outplayed
Dawson - perhaps harsh to put him in a "need to pull their socks up" but I simply fail to see what he brings in attack or defence. Was more solid than expected today, but was a big contributor to our lack of go forward (given browns wingers always scoot policy) - there were numerous times I felt we missed swift.
lomax - I don't get why everyone was so happy with his performance - he did some great stuff in attack, but his laboured defence was responsible for 2 tries - and 3 if you include the Farrell kick through
Hohaia - reverted to type after a few good weeks. Another who just seems to think "tackling technique"=grabbing, put in more than a few bad kicks, didnt ever seem to put people through, and was just generally everything I've come to expect of him. Walshs pass selection was poor at times today, but still made Hohaia look clueless
But, as everyone was very eager to point out to us before the match, nothing is won in April.

Did he take Richards slipping in to his calculations?
Lockers is good but that's ninja reactions to be able to not only react to a slip from Richards but to also mentally calculate how he'd take him out rather then just react.
Either way it doesn't really matter to us. I'd rest him for our next two games anyway.

He will get a ban but as usual they will work in so he only misses minor games. Prob one match ban so he will get a rest in the cc.
Why do saints, Widnes and Warrington play local derby over Easter, yet Wigan get the bulls at home? Also seems very convienant Wigan had London the week before the busy Easter period.
So basically it's rest players the week before Easter. Pick full strength for Good Friday. Then rest players against the bulls and championship side the following week after Easter.
All the other sides are struggling with Easter but seems Wigan got it easy.

| I said at the time, the lad slipped into it. SOL would have hit him in the chest otherwise, not much in it for me

Not seen it on the tv but it doesn't matter if Richards slipped or not, if the is contact to the head then it's foul play. If the was a slip then maybe it wasn't deliberate but either way if he's hit the head it's foul play.

More or less what the ref said to SOL at the time. Penalty sufficient for me.
