No but were happy with the alternatives to Lee Gaskell, Wayne Godwin, Stephen Wild, Ryan McGoldrick etc who we had last season.

Not improved a great deal tho have you?
Already on to your 3rd coach in the koukash revolution and I predict another high turn over of players for 2015 again.

| I don't mind him too much but he seems to think he can buy instant success. He simply doesn't understand it takes time to build a successful team.

It's pretty clear when we played them that we was a team that's grown together and they a team that's been thrown together.
I doubt noble signed them players, I think he did and with no thought of if they would gel or how balanced the team is. He's just seen names and thrown cash at them.
It will go the way Blackburn has with the venkys.

They're obviously a team cobbled together, and they look unbalanced, as Koukash has weighted the cap space toward a couple of expensive signings. He had a lot to learn when he bought the club, and it's crucial he learns the lessons.
But overall I think you're being unfair on him. Salford as a club was moribund and facing financial oblivion. They've now improved attendances, grabbed headlines, and elbowed their way toward a seat at RL's top table.
The project will by necessity need to be several years long; we'll see if he's good for Salford overall when we know if he has the patience & staying power to see it through to success.

Which is exactly why Noble hasn't had his contract renewed and has been asked to step aside. We have the players to improve, but the coach hasn't shown any signs of visible progress or improvement. I doubt we'll see a great turnover, Morley and Meli both signed one-year-deals and will be replaced naturally but apart from that the main of the team will remain.

So 7 weeks a go Noble was the man to lead the revolution and now he's not? He's thrown 14 new players together and expected to have them gel in 7 weeks? Little harsh.
So he moves Noble "upstairs" who's ex bulls and Wigan coach who's won trophies and also coached GB and brings in a guy who's never coached first grade ?
No doubt Harris will be demoted to assistant before the start of next season.

| 7 weeks? Noble has been in charge for 12 months. He's had a full pre season including a 3 week stint in South Africa. Injuries haven't helped but it had been evident since the first game Noble wasn't right for the job. Plus once you lose the dressing room it's time to go.

Yes but last season was a write off, he took over at a bad time. His signings have only played together 7 times.

I'm not going to convince you. But in the end the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
So far it's all positive for Salford. I don't think he seriously considered he would get Tomkins. But in terms of Mullany he is about as good as they could hope for at the time. Had he been there a year earlier he would have said Tomkins but got Eden.
It's a different way of doing business. But basically if he had said we are targeting Mullany it would have had zero impact in the national press, and a minor subsection on the RL media. Saying Tomkins gets the press, whilst the serious work is done on the real target.
No doubt he will be after Roby or Cameron Smith and then sign Clarke from cas. If he said I'm after Clark, people in RL world would go mm nice deal. If he says Cameron Smith then people at the Sun and the telegraph go KOUKASH splashes the cash on Ozzie genius.
Whether he does or not will not get reported but you see the point it generates the interest which is why their crowds have doubled.

| In all fairness havent all parties ie Tomkins, Koukash and Wigan confirmed the bid was genuine? Regardless of cash, we won't sign that calibre of player until we're challenging at the top.

| The £25K bid for the Bulls can be genuine. But did does not make it a serious bid.

| Posted my thoughts on Red Vee but here they are again:
The bloke thinks he can waive cash around and get success and it doesn't work like that. What he has done in reality so far is pay seasoned pros at the end of their career pots of cash. If there was no salary cap maybe it would work like in football but fortunately there is.
Warrington started with a similar model. Granted they have won a couple of Challenge Cups but still not won a Championship in 60 years and are they will have to continue to spend because they hardly have a production line do they?
What Salford need is a long term plan. Yes his cash is welcome in a game strapped for that commodity but it would be better invested in the infrastructure. Get into the schools and amateur clubs and invest in the youth and get a decent academy set up flourishing. maybe it would take a decade or more but eventually it will bear fruit.

He's been poaching a few of the 16s from Wigan ... I assume by paying more money - no idea about infrastructure for the kids though ...
Then again, even the kids he signed were for publicity, given he signed a Hanley
