On a very hot day, covering a modern ball in water before its kicked 45 metres through the air, caught, then passed to another player? There can't have been much moisture left on it, can there?
Not sportsmanlike, certainly, but no more than a talking to.

Nice exaggeration. A minority of the less educated Wigan fans are in 'uproar'. Most are indifferent and a few are even applauding the tactic.
Leeds are also under investigation for the same thing. I doubt there is a rule against it so little will come of any investigation unless of course the RFL are true to form and charge Wellens with breaking the 'spirit' if the rules. |
