Saints have just confirmed on Twitter that Luke Thompson is a prop forward who will be 18 on Saturday. He played for Pilks Recs and has also played internationally. I hope he's a big lad because he's bloody young to be playing prop in the first team!

Saints did confirm that he will be getting his debut on Saturday so that sounds like he'll be playing?

Ashe was nowhere near as good at hooker as Speakman against Salford, so to prefer him now at 9 is strange - and that's before you consider we've also loaned Howarth and had Hohaia playing there. Bonkers Brown never fails to suprise, though.

Jeezy Creazy. Well, its rare, but some guys are ready at that age. Burgess and Graham for instance, but they're few and far between. Good luck to the lad.

Why play this guy, and indeed Tilley before him, before Hand and Forster, who you would have thought from the fact they were involved at the beginning of the season, that they were higher in the pecking order?

I've just been informed that a friend of mine coached Luke Thompson at school. Apparently he is a unit and has bags of potential. Tipped for a very big future indeed.

Aye. He was good going forward but he tended to look like he needed to go on an intravenous drip after one hit up.

Warren Thompson; played in the cup against Featherstone. I liked the look of him as a player, short but very solid build, kinda similar to Walker. Warren is now at Rochdale with Gareth Frodsham.

Luke Thompson is an England Academy international who came up. I hadn't heard of him until a while ago unlike Percival, Savelio and Richards who have had big reputations for a while now. A late bloomer perhaps, given he is supposed to be a big lad maybe he has grown a bit in the last couple of years?

Savelio must be due a call up soon.
