I know Batley is lovely this time of the year. Maybe Browny wanted to show Rushy the best Yorkshire has to offer!
In all seriousness though, I've no problem with them being there if they are looking at young home-grown players. This is probably the way its going to be now with the NRL salary cap. If we get in ahead of other big clubs on well thought of young players how much better of a positon do we find ourselves in when/if the talent pool dries up for a while.
That glassy winger though, he can stay well away.

If Saints want him (and he wants Saints), then there'll not be much Batley can do to stop him - I bet Championship contracts have a SL release clause in as standard, and it'll do the club no good to be seen to be standing in the way of one of their lads hitting the big time.
If he can pass, kick, think and talk, then get him for the rest of the season on trial. |
