On the subject of our other "so called" props. Lms is in the worst form in a saints shirt, he's been truly shocking!
Lafranchi - most on here know my views on him. He's just not a prop, he's not even a decent player!
Clough - he's a 5th choice style prop, should never start but does ok if called on.
Perry - total crap.'"
Sorry I just had to change this.

| Our younger players in general have stepped up and put the experienced players to shame, excluding Sia. Lomax, Makinson, Greenwood, Swift, Walmsley and Percival have outshone everyone else.

| I think the younger players have that fight about them. They are not old pro's who are happy to sit and take a wage, regardless of the outcome.

I'd give Percival a extended run at centre now. Obviously if its not going well for him he needs protecting but I think this kid is as good or not even better than any centre at the club.
Walmsley, greenwood, walker, swift and Percival are the best bunch of young lads we've produced in a long time. I'm not one to get carried away with young lads as most know on here but I think this bunch has potential. Not saying they will make it but I think they got a good chance.

Indeed.
After his first game, Walker looked bang average (think it was vs Leeds?) but ever since in the Warrington and Wigan games he's looked very handy and his stats are impressive.
Greenwood looks a great prospect considering how well he's going now and the potential he has considering his frame.
Percival looks a real threat and should be our starting centre with Turner on the other side (who has also impressed me). Gives us pace and some real threat if we can find a HB who can exploit that.
Swift/Makinson haven't really impressed me as I would have liked. Especially Makinson who has been a bit disappointing for me considering how well he did when he broke through. Swift looks ok, but hasn't done much so far.
Walmsley/Lomax have been discussed to death and look very very good.
Someone you have missed out is Jones. Think he's done really well again considering he is now playing in the back-row. I was sceptical of that position for him, but he's done well there I think. If he can improve he could be great there. Centre isn't his position as he just doesn't have the pace IMO.

| I really like Walker too, maybe over shadowed by Walmsley, but his tackling looked fantastic. To be honest we are never going to produce 10 - 20 world beaters. But we always had a crop of decent players who could rotate in and out of the squad.
Jonkers, Bennett etc....
You need these to compliment the star turns, it's just the star turns are not very sparkly at the moment.

I don't class the likes of lomax, makinson, wheeler as the young lads anymore. They are pretty experienced now.

Makinson and Lomax are younger than Wheeler. Lomax has more experience than Makinson and may be older than him?

Ill explain just for you.
The likes of lomax, makinson, wheeler etc and now in the 3rd season and have player play off rugby, challenge cup semis and grand finals. I'd day they are pretty experienced as young lads now and no longer new comers to first grade rugby league.
The likes of swift, walker, greenwood, Percival ext are still new to first grade and not put a full season in the super league as yet.
