It's always a confidence buster when you get so exposed in game 1.

That may be the case for other supporters but not for me. I kept quiet on the matter of how well we would do under Brown. I will just be surprised if we win on Sunday. I struggle to see how a pack which performed so poorly and were so dominated can pick itself up enough to beat an enthusiastic side like Widnes.

I think we will go ok on Sunday. Not predicting a nilling, but something like 12-20.

I think it will be a low scoring game as Widnes will be up in our faces with the defence, just like Huddersfield where, trying to repeat the same result. But I also think we will be quicker off our line. We gave Huddersfield acres of room to run at us. Their forwards where in full flight when they hit our line 10m back. We really need to close that gap in time between when the player receives the ball and gets hit.

I'm not after lots of players darting out of the line, but the whole line in general moving up quicker.
