Why have you called me an idiot when I had already called Wello and Sia in my top 3.
Or maybe you are trolling along in your own way.

'Not a single player tonight on Saints team deserved any form of positive mention.'

If you took off the "Wello Not Worthy" factor by some fans on here he was easy the best player on Friday. It would,t surprise if Wello wins the saints player of the year this season.
Is this indicative of how the mighty team have fallen or perhaps the reality that Wellens is still one of the best full backs in the game.

If you see tries as playing well, then fine, give him the award. But can you tell me what he did against London, or throughout this season that makes you think he's even worth a shirt, when we've got a World Cup winning fullback who is stupidly and farcically being played in the halves, a scrumhalf who has all the attributes to be a fantastic modern fullback and a winger who contributes nothing because we can't get his pace involved in the game? Wello is a massive part of the reason we've not won any of the last 5 Grand Finals and why we won't be appearing in any finals for a good while. He's solid, won't make too many mistakes (Apart from being stepped or outpaced by just about everyone over the last few years) and falls over the line for a try or two a game after wasting a tackle or two every single set in the opposition 20 by dying with the ball.
I love Wello the person as much as any of you, but if you can't see how poor a modern fullback he is, you are blinded by your affection for him. The pro-Wellens people on here just regard not knocking on as being a fullback playing well. The game has moved on and left both Wello and Saints 10 years out of date.

If you want Lomax at full back who will you appoint as scrum half, what field position do you have destined for Makinson. Who will be the leaders and communicators in your team.

Personally I like the idea of Lomax at centre more and more the more I think about it - he's more than big enough these days, has all the attributes necessary going forward, won't have his lack of a kicking game and vision exposed there as at #7, and he already defends at #4 anyway. We're a bit knackered for genuine #7s but I reckon Lance at #7 and Gaskell at #6 would make for a much better matched pairing than we've had this season with a bit of work, or if you're being wildly optimistic Wheeler and Gaskell in the halves with Hohaia as interchange #9 could work quite nicely.

It just shows how things have gone wrong over the last 3 seasons, our most promising half back partnership would have been Eastmond and Wheeler. Half backs is still a priority rather than making Wellens an escape goat. In time Lomax or Swift or Makinson could be fullback but we have turned these into 3 square pegs in a round hole, 4 square pegs if you include Lance.

No idea why we bought Lance. Not consistent enough to be a starting 6. Think he would offer more at fullback than Wello tho. But it seems Wello is a shoe in for some reason.

More indicative of how we have become the biggest joke in super league.

Yes - being 3rd in the league and having made 6 grand finals in a row with a reasonable chance still of making it 7 clearly makes us a complete and utter laughing stock to the entire rest of the league.
