Good news. Have taken time to warm to him which is probably more about regretting the departure of
Gilmour rather than Sia himself.

Really think his future lies at prop with LeFrank in the SR.
A SRer with good hands a feet struggling to match the power of other props
while Saints have a monster who bounces people playing wider out.

Sia could be the prop of the competition if handled correctly.

It would have to be a case of someone leaving as we have 5 on the nonfed trained list in Sia,TP,Lance,Perry and Laffranchi.Unless as mentioned above they are exempt.

Great news for the club and fans. Sia one of my favourite players, expect Nathan Brown to make him a better player next year.

Considering Brown has put Gilly at prop at a push, I imagine he'll be bumping Sia up to the front row at some point. He's more than powerful enough.

It's sometimes hard to believe that Sia is only 25 and his best years are ahead of him. He's still a youngster in forward terms.

Mixed feelings. I like Soliola. He's a genuine physical presence. Athletic. Good skills. And he's played pretty well since he overcame injury. But I've always felt there's that something missing from his game. He just doesn't impress himself on the opposition enough for me.

If we got him at a good price fine. I can go with that. But if we're paying up around the top bracket I really think our money could be invested more wisely. I mean, Soliola or a good Aussie/Kiwi scrum half? I'd weaken the pack for that.

is Perry's contract up a the end of the season?

No. Him, tp and laffranchi all here till end of 2013, which could cause a bit of a problem unless they start to earn a new contract. Can't see tp getting another though.

I thought Perry was only over here for two seasons?

He definitely signed a three year deal for Saints.

Can't really ban for replying to someone, Rogues initial comment no matter how inaccurate was about Sia. If someone brings a Wigan player into it then it's just giving him cart blanch (hence opening the door).
