I just can't believe that statement! would this be a first for rugby league and even football? LOL

| Wigan have been given an allocation of 2,397. Probably the lowest allocation of tickets they've ever received from a SL opposition?
Their fans can of course buy from Saints, no tickets left for the East or West terraces, but they can fill the gaps in the North and South if they want to, choosing a seat near their end, we no doubt make more money that way as there is no Wigan admin going on. I just hope we're able to filter the Wigan post codes and make them pay £5 for postage instead of the £2 we pay

Why not? Why should the Gooners be given tickets if there is sufficient demand from home fans? My opinion is founded on commercial grounds, but it works morally as well. We make no future revenue from Wigan fans, they won't buy merchandise. If we give tickets to the club itself, I've no doubt they try to pilfer some cream from the top. Selling them ourself no doubt cuts that out. Plus if we sell more to home fans there is more potential 'conversions' that will then buy season tickets.

Thought this allocation was just for the east and other tickets from the seated areas would be added to this?

| Saints took the East Terrace offsale this morning online because the allocation they had set aside for Saints fans had been sold out and couldnt sell anymore for the East Terrace because theyve sent the rest to Wigan which go on sale in the morning.

| dont get too excited, Saints might just do what they did for the Salford game to saints fans, send you a letter saying "your ticket is invalid, your money has been refunded" to all tickets purchased with a wigan address

That'd be a bit stupid... How do they know that the fans are actually Wigan supporters? I know St.Helens fans who live in Wigan.

well they've set a precedent, so it could be done.
or ask fans to turn up in their saints shirt to collect their ticket to ensure they're saints fans

I don't see the point in this, Market forces, get your ticket early or miss out. Whether you be Wigan or Saints. It will teach people that this game is a game you have to get too.
They could add priority release tickets for this match next year. ie name a match that gaurantees a priority booking.
So for example, next year Saints could say, due to previous high demand for the Wigan derby, the Catalan game will become the priority game. People buying tickets for the Catalan game, can use their catalan ticket to go to the club shop a week before anyone else and get their ticket. Then general sale 1 week later. Means games with lower crowd bases have an added extra attached.

| The Wigan website says an initial allocation so maybe more tickets may become available.
I wonder if Saints have not had the certification to allow full capacity yet and are holding tickets back until they do.

Indeed - I bought mine yesterday with no problems. No point moaning about it - get in early or tough doo-doos.
