We had the luxury of rotating props last night to rest lms which we haven't done for years. We are on the best position since 2006 when we had balou cayless graham Maurie and fozzie'"
We might have numbers are prop but I don't think we have quality.

The only quality we have lost is graham and there is no player on the world that could replace him. The team has to adapt to his loss and get away from relying on him. I think laffranchi will add the quality to our pack, give him a few games.

I know what your saying and I hope im wrong but I just think we lack a top quality prop.
I think laffranchci is doing ok but I still think we miss a out and out good prop.

Ideally for sure we would have signed another prop, but then none were available. Am not sure griffin that Geezer from Leigh would add anything in quality, the only other option was Gibbs, and I have no idea what he would have added. We could do with a other prop but then am sure evey other team would say the same. The likes of Warrington and Leeds have ageing props, wigans recruitment appears to have been woeful, maybe hull hudds and cats will cause us problems, but our pack should be able to compete with any of them.

| Thought we missed LMS yesterday, TP must be fully recognised as a prop now. Our biggest problem is an impact prop off the bench, we,ve not really had one now for 2 or 3 seasons since big Maurie left.
We do have a quality back 3 rotation though, Dixon and Soliola have raised the bar, so our pack strength will come from hooker and second row. Franki and Perry will get better as the games unfold.

| The thing with Saints is they always have been a great second half team, similar to Oz v England, look like they are on the ropes 1st half and midway through the 2nd until they find this extra gear and batter teams in the last 20 mins.
I'd never write Saints off even without the FGB and the recruitment of the anonymous Laffranchi and Lance 'the crab' Hohaia

As opposed to Snail Wellens who makes it look like you're watching in slow motion.

Wellens always runs forwards. He's never wary of taking on the line. He may not go forward very quickly or even beat a man these days, but Wellens is never crab like!
On the point about Graham, I think it's stating the bleeding obvious to say that we will miss him. Of course we will. Nobody in our front row has ever been as willing as Jammer to take the ball forward. But if this team want to go anywhere this season then some of our less enthuisastic forwards are going to have to start taking the ball forward. If they don't, I'd suggest we give those newly promoted lads a try instead. They may be keener.

I agree and that's why IMO we should have brought a top quality prop in to replace jammer. We had the money as we offered jammer the best ever contract.
I hate to say it as I've backed him the last 12 month but I thi k perry is finished. He's just to slow, don't make meters, misses tackles which I'm gutted about as I've been a fan of his for years.
Laffranchci looks a good player, runs hard, makes meters and does his work in defence but for me the club must have knew perry is struggling and should have brought in a top prop.
I think our season we will depend on how our props turn out because at the moment they don't look good enough to make the grand fiñal.

Top prop such as who? I wouldn't lump griffin Gibbs or hill that bracket, and not sure who else was available?

Bryce gibbs and Jason king would have been excellent signings. They are both very very aggressive hard working props.
I'm trying to rack my brains with the other two that was off contract but can't think of their names.
Griffin ain't great but at this moment in time looks twice the player perry is. It kills me to say that as I keep saying as a big NRL fan, I've been a big perry fan for past 5 years.
I just think we've been unlucky with perry as the club signed him when he was in the top ten props in the world.
Laffranchci will go well tho, just a shame we've no top prop to partner him. If perry gets back to his best then I think him and laffranchci will go well together.
