Not sure we can afford to sign an aging player with a habit of giving away penalties. Not in money terms, but points terms.

Not interested. He's reckless without the ball and not worth the investment.

I'm under the impression he's looked past his best, this year? Forwards like Casty, Mounis and Batieri (sp) along with their coconuts seem to have a bigger influence when I've seen them recently.

I'm not really a great fan of comparing stats, but having a quick look at ferriols stats and comparing them to other props really does make you question why we would consider taking him. He compares poorly across all the stats, his penalty count and metres gained are really poor, the only thing he has going in his favour is that he played virtually every game. Royce appears to dislike penalty machines, like Moore, so can't really see him bringing ferriol to the new Knowsley rd

I'd like to see Ferriol in the red vee, if he could cut out the penalties he'd add real grunt to the front row

A great player, props as a rule tend to be under the hill rather than over it. Just like a bottle of Chateau Ferriol 1823, props just get better with age. The business aspect is a stumbling block but I imagine if we give him enough time to go home and check up on things he will come over for a year or two.

He has the look of a guy who has a few dismembered corpses under his patio. A look that all the great props have. Tim Street scared the living s*** out of me and I am about a foot taller than him.

I home there is some truth in this.

Over-rated IMO.

Too much time spent trying to look tough rather than playing RL and using his noggin.

The type of daft player (like Scott Moore) that can cost you big games.

Nah, players like Scott Moore win you games because they enable you to compete physically.

Our current side is often bullied by the likes of Leeds, Wigan and Warrington. Losing Jammer and Scott means we are going to have a really feable team, no niggle or gusto in there at all and on paper it looks very open to being bullied by the big boys.

Wilst I tend to lean with you, I do get recalled to the fact that when compared to say, Leeds (who've had the wood over us in the big games), don't you think we kind of look like a bunch of "nice boys"?
Some of the Leeds lads are masters of not just being s, but smart s,with the likes of Ablett, JJB and obvioulsy Bailey. I think their doggedness is something we've lost since Scully/Hooper/Talau went.
