The one where he put it around his back before putting it down? I didn't think that there was much need to do that to be perfectly honest.

Except he caught it behind him, so had to?
It wasn't a 'showboat', it was a great piece of skill and awareness of his position which was the difference between a try and no-try.
People bag Foster for being nowt but a kicker, and bag Meli for being an awful centre.
Baffling, then, that Foster would score so many tries, or be handed so many 'walk-in' tries, on what must be the weakest flank Saints have ever had?!?

| I think Foster will prove a lot of people wrong over his career at Saints. I have high hopes for him and Makinson.

Agree completely. Both extremely young, with all the raw materials - just needs a top coach to help them fulfil the potential.

I could be wrong about it then, at the time I just thought that he was "showboating". I do hope that Foster and Makinson meet their potential because it can only be good for England RL in the future.

| I think Foster has bags of potential, not least because of the fantastic temperament he seems to have. He is often not spectacular in attack, but he can beat a man, finishes well and holds his touchline well.
Comparisons with Gardner are, in my opinion, a bit tough on him.
And what a kicker. Young lad, from halfway in terrible conditions in a finely poised Grand Final. Tricky kick to say the least, but he made it look like he nails long range penalties in the rain in front of 70k people every day before breakfast.
However talented you are, you don't do that without an ice-cool personality and being obsessive about practice. Those things will take him a long way.

| Nah. He isn't as good as Josh Charnley is he. Why would Wigan want such an average player?

| Foster is showing all the signs of being a cracking player. His kicking is wonderful, he finishes really well, is becoming more and more dangerous in broken play and is better than Charnley defensively.
He is also a marketable asset. If he stays Saints will make more from Foster shirts than they will for all other players combined I reckon. The kids love him.

| Quote: Passionate Saint "The long term future centre at Saints will be Mark Percival in my honest opinion. He is the most natural English centre i've ever seen. Just been called up to the England youth set up Vs Australia in December.
The worrying thing about Foster is that although i want him in the Saints team, i also would'nt give him big wages and with the kicking game he posseses he could be a target from Union.'"
now you have gone & done it Foster to union

| 400pts is an incredible feat especially for one who has been written off by half of Saints fans already after his first full season. Amazing achievement and I'm sure he'll repeat the feat next year.

He is. And unless Wigan play the geriatric welshman there next year maybe he will fill the centre gap left by Gleeson/Tomkins. Maybe Famous Amos will make a comeback on the wing then.
