This is a concern. Although we were well beaten last year and by our traditional rivals, the atmosphere was a ton better than it had been at any of the matches against Leeds. I hope there isn't any trouble but I wouldn't be surprised if there is.

I reckon there won't be much trouble this year from Leeds Fans, think the "hatred" has mellowed a bit and its more mutual respect now, might be down to both of us knocking out the 2 favourites.

| No worries. We have peaked at the right time at last. We look relatively fresh and in form and we know we can beat Leeds having done it twice this season. Play to our capabilities and we will be ok. COYS!

| I really dont see what the fuss is. I've got my Chris Joynt testimonial shirt ready. I've also got my apollo training jumper from his last grand final. Its in the bag.
I did not wear them against leeds previously as I was wearing the new shirts those years. Silly me. I've remided that now so I'll e in a blue training top from years back and look a little out of place amongst the red and white of everyone one else. But I dont mind as at least the game will be in the bag.
Sorry for not wearing it after the hull final. opps

| My worry is that the game will be decided by a simple error such as a defender slipping on the wet turf in the defensive line or when fielding a kick. I hope the game is decided on skill and effort and courage rather than error or refereeing decision.
COYS!

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| It has surprised me how super confident that some St Helens fans have been, a little like the England Unions boys this morning? it seems as if some feel the team only need to appear and win.
As I said on another thread I wonder how much the weather will play an important part, a very wet pitch which team will it suit more, though thankfully the winds seem to have dropped.
If Leeds should win it shows what a farce the play-offs are when a team who scrape in are the Champions and seem to be seen as the top team in Super League, perhaps it is time for it just to be the Sky End of Season Knock Out Cup? as that is what it has become, a lot more people will have watched England on ITV this morning than ever Sky can deliver, it is simply the money Sky brings to the game.

I disagree totally with this post. Most Saints fans are just happy to be there and are being quite chicken when it comes to predicting a Saints win.
Leeds winning is no less of a farce than Saints or Wigan. Neither finished the league top. Whether you are not top by one point or hundred you are still not top. Either the playoffs are valid or they are not. They can'tbe made more vaklid becauase of a certain outcome. Its either a valid process or not.
Personally I say not. But the clubs seam happy with it.

Utter tosh. Most REAL and true Saints fans are optimistic but not over confident. Leeds will be a tough nut to crack. You wanna see over confident go look at threads on the Warrington and Wigan boards from a week ago.

We're showing faith in a team that is made up of largely young players who just a couple of months ago looked like they'd never make a playoff much less the GF. Both Leeds and Saints fans believe their team can win this because both Leeds and Saints fans have been backing teams that haven't looked likely contenders for most of the season, and both Leeds and Saints teams have had to beat one of the top two to get there. Saints will have to play their A game for the full 80 to win it. We believe they can do this but whether they will or not (on both counts) remains to be seen.

The playoffs are the end of season knock out cup; that's what the playoffs are about. They have nothing to do with the regular season other than those teams who performed well enough to get into the top eight have the chance to join in the Championship knock out cup.

| I worry about foster on the wing in windy and wet conditions. He looks like a accident waiting to happen and I'd put my house on Leeds putting him under all kinds of pressure with kicks and I'm pretty sure they will attack him.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |
