| Depends what our team is. If Graham is back I'd fancy us.

From a brief read of the RL press this week, it looks like he is returning for Warrington. He wanted to play at Salford, apparently, but it seems that Simmons wouldn't let him, preferring that he is fully fit. There is an outside chance Leon will be back apparently, but that was less likely than Jammer. It is Wello who could be the real problem. He's had a scan and results to be known soon. Not very encouraging really.
As to the Dire match ...
Saints to win by a few!

| I think we can cope with the loss of Wello. We have Foster and Lomax who can cover. We miss Wello's experience, but both of those two are capable full backs. Eastmond's last performance was encouraging and should Graham return, I think we'll be difficult to beat up front at the moment. Pryce coming back would be a nice bonus.

| Do fancy us to win this by a couple of scores which worries me because I fancied Wire the last few years to do is and we all know what happens. Think Jammer will play and also think Leon will feature. Wouldn't you think Wello would have a good chance considering he did make the initial 19 against Salford, or was he just making the numbers up?

I'm sure I read in the RL papers today that Wire were expecting to get a couple of their players back for this match.

| I've been telling a mate of mine all week. THIS is the one to lose. It's early enough in the season to not matter one little bit, it's not a proper home game and IMO the 'run' kind of loses its meaning now we've left Knowsley Road.

According to a quote from Simmons in the RL press this week he has had a scan and it could be a lengthy lay off (which is in contradiction to an earlier statement from Simmons that said he might need a 'minor operation', implying that he wouldn't be missing for long!).
But I agree with Blobby. We have two very capable young players to cover that position in Foster and Lomax. The problem is, I suppose, that we are also covering centre as, surprise, surprise!, Wheeler isn't due back for the Wire match and we may end up getting another injury (I'm a bit of a nervous twitch about injuries this season after last season!).

| I bet for a draw at Cardiff, not worth a bet against salford but I'm going for a win against Dire if the odds improve; currently 1/2 to win which is pretty garbage. Dire are 11/10 to win.
I think (hope) it might be quite comfortable against them for a change.

| God bless you all for pretending you're expecting anything else than a routine Saints win. Eastmond has already started to develop a Sean Long-esque knack of kicking us in the balls, I'm not sad that he's leaving to be honest.

No pretence in it! We're at Widnes now and don't have Keiron to cause you problems or Longy to kick you in the collective teeth. We aren't even used to playing on our 'home' ground yet!

| Same old, same old, tough game with saints winning in the end.
Roby and Jammer to be man mountains as per usual, with TP nipping of the bench to slam in a TRY before half time. I might have a shandy to.
