To be honest, is it ever the right time to be playing inexperienced halfbacks? But we did the Wilkin thing for some of the Grand Final and it didn't work then. It didn't work at all except for one game against Leeds. Kyle Eastmond is actually relatively experienced in the halfback role and as he gets back up to speed he will be more dynamic there. Meanwhile, we have two young halfbacks chomping at the bit and the only way they will become experienced is by giving them that experience.
I understand where you are coming from. A win would be great against Salford; against everyone, come to think of it! But we lost four Grand Finals in a row and the last one to Wigan. Is there anything worse than that? Not to me. So if we lose, we lose. But our halfbacks will get another game under their belt, learn from it and be better next time around.
