Never rated and I think it's a good move by saints to release him. It's about time we have some wingers with some real pace. Gardner runs like he's got a parachute attached to his back!!! IMO he doesn't offer much to the teams. I would like to see Peter Fox at saints

I was completely neutral for the Saints v Wire game but did smile at a couple of Wire fans who got quire carried away early on in the game.

Gardner has been rubbish for 2 years, but since he's moved to the left wing spot and he's come back from injury he's actually played very well. Against both Warrington and Castleford his contributions in catching high kicks in particular was very good. He's a very frustrating player.

by the same rule you cant have superstars in every posistion with the salery cap so good hard working honest players are a must. he runs the ball in well and has deffo improved under the bomb so i for one can see why saints persist

This is a myth. Hes not, all that happened is he got a better payrise when he negotiated his contract than he would have, had he not been an international. Ive heard £100k a year bounded about. No way, no way at all.

Whatever wage Ade's on, he's on more than Lomax and Foster, who offer more in the same position, I'd even rather have Wheeler on the wing instead although he's not as good as a winger as those two

if Gardner was on the wages of a 'good hard working honest player' then fine - but he signed his current contract as the best winger in the game and England's first choice.
