I think that's the difficult thing for a lot of fans. My Dad has been going to KR for 65 years from when his Dad first took him and sat him on the wall (having lifted him over the turnstile to get him in for free). Because it has been around for so long there are a lot of people who identify very strongly with it as part of their family culture. I remember sitting as a child in the back garden at our home in Eccleston while my Dad was at the match, hearing the noise of the fans when we scored a try and the groans when the opposition scored. So even when I wasn't at the place, the place was there with me. |

Similar to Wilderspool, it's a dump but it's our dump, you'll blubber and when the whistle has gone and the players have done their rounds and most have left, you'll look round and say "I'll miss you old girl, we had some good times, we had some bad but i wouldn't swap them for anything"

As much as it pains me to say I'm sure you will win tomorrow and probably by a fair number in a fitting KR goodbye to KC, but, whatever happens treasure your last day at Knowsley Road from leaving your house, going to the pub, walking through the turnstyles, standing on your spot, half time shannanigans - everything and I'm sure it will be an emotional day for you lot- I miss Central Park more than anything and it's the silly little things you'll remember.
