I'd really like to explain to me how Morley (as good as he has been) is in over Jammer
www.superleague.co.uk/statistics ... 0&hp2=1885
And while i've started, how Sam tomkins is in over Robes? I know they're different positions, but come on!

haha i havnt posted any in months, but they are 1 of several good ways to judge a player, as apposed to going to see every game, which is impossible

I can, and do, see the point when comparing props (although its still not the be all and end all), but I fail to see what insight your getting from the Tomkins-Roby comparison?

My point is, that robes has, imo had a better season than Sam, so should have made the list ahead of him (i also put it in to wind up some wigan fans too!)

roby has stood out in a less than dominant team, often coming on as an impact player, where his role by its very nature is to have a brief impact, Sam on the other hand is an 80 minute man and has stood out in a table topping side, there is the difference

Roby has stood out in a team 80 minutes from OT and that reached the semi finals in the cup.

Tomkins has stood out in a team that isn't and didn't.

Kieran Cunningham is also a big omission IMO.

Picking one of the three, Id go for Richards.....especially for the last minute penalty that his missed against Leeds last week! a014.gif

I went for Richards, purely because I think Morley is overrated and I hate Tomkins.

Quote: LovesToSpooge "If anything those stats make it appear as though Roby's more of a defensive player. Which is clearly wrong as he's apt in both attack and defense, as is Tomkins.'"

It is quite possible, though, that Roby has done an awful lot of defending this season as we have been a tad woeful in that department, bar a few very hardworking individuals, Robes included.

Saints were never going to get a look-in this season for any awards. We have snuck into the top two against the run of play. Most commentators have been writing us off all season, if they've actually been mentioning us at all. On top of that, of course, is the fact that so many Saints players have won the award in recent times that I cannot see opposition players voting for a Saints player for some time to come!

James Graham and James Roby both done more this year than the 3 nominated, I would personally hope Morlry got it of the 3, however Jammer has been best prop in England this year. d040.gif
