As i understood it you can continue to get your season tickets in the usual way, or you can sign up for a 5 year deal in which the saving will essentially mean you get a year free. Both are available as pay up front or by monthly direct debit. The sooner you pay the better choice you have of which seat you can pick. At the moment current seat season ticket holders have the first option, then ground standing ticket holders will be contacted. Details are available in the ticket office, and, I imagine, in the exhibit in touchlines which will be open till 7:30 tomorrow and tuesday.
Don't take this as gospel mind its just what I could pick up.

| How big a mistake has the club made leaving themselves with this 'off year'.
Crowds at Widnes will average 4 or 5 thousand. I'd suspect that with it being a sellers market Widnes will have got a very nice deal for our use of the ground meaning a lot of that income will disappear into their hands.
Also, with the club having no ground or real presence any more the commercial side will drop a whole lot. Out of sight, out of mind is the motto I believe.
It's a monumental failing not getting the stadium ready for next season.

I'd have guessed at the popular side continuing to be down the side!

There were too many players and too many external pressures to pull that one off, I should imagine. It would have been the ideal arrangement, obviously, but if Knowsley Road is costing the club too much to run then it's possible they will save some money by being at Widnes for a season. Not that they will save money per se, obviously, as getting a new stadium off the ground will be a big money loser. But at least they won't have the financial headache of Knowsley Road to add to their other financial headaches.

I have no idea what any of it will cost them, but I know the turnover will be drastically down next season. We could potentially lose half our average gate?

We could and we probably will, not least because it's going to be a bit of a mare getting people there. If there was copious parking around the ground, as there is at Leigh for instance, then that would be half the battle won. But there isn't and so a lot of fans will no doubt have to consider paying for a coach and all the hassle that entails, which may mean they don't bother going. It's hard to say whether the losses at the gate will be offset by the savings on Knowsley Road or whether the directors are going to have to have extremely deep pockets for a season!

That is not quite right. We have ground season tickets at the moment but we have paid for our season tickets for next season and chosen our seats for the new stadium.
Existing stand season ticket holders will be allocated tickets in the new stadium in the two central blocks. Ground season ticket holders can therefore chose any of the other seats on that same side of the ground as from now. The other side will be were the corporate boxes etc will be and they will purchase seats on that side of the ground. ALL seating will be allocated seating.

I'm just about ready to give up on you fella, honestly. The club have done everything they can to get us in a new stadium.
As Big Mac and Marie Rimmer stated pre-kick-off its been a real battle to get the project off and running - take that as political spin if you like but its true.
Widnes will no doubt get a tidy penny from us for use of the Halton but I suggest the cost of renting will be comparable (if not less) than the small fortune we pay for upkeep of knowsley road. Percentages of ticket sales, concessions and the additional sponsorship & corporate hospitality we can bring to what they already have will no doubt contribute towards the money we pay Widnes too. The commercial side of the club should not be affected.
IF crowds at Widnes only average 4 or 5 thousand it will be down to people like YOU. I (perhaps blindly) have faith that the majority of our fans go to home games to support the team NOT because the stadium is close to where they live.

On that point, of the ten or so people spear heading SBS, only one lived in St Helens.
Read into that what you will.

Seeing as though I travel from the Costa Del Fernhead every week it makes jack all difference to me, in fact it just means I turn left off the roundabout instead of right and I'm more comfortable when I get there.
My post was perhaps a tad dismissive of the efforts the people involved have put in. I'll let you have that one.

I see, did you have to pay the whole lot up front or could you sign up for the DD scheme?

Thats interesting,
Wonder how they will handle main stand season ticket holders who are looking to sit alongside friends/family who currently stand up.
Would be hard if they said, Sorry folks you need to sit on the 20 yard line.
