For me he'll be remembered for celebrating with his haka after adding to his rather bulging collection of winners medals with a cup winners medal in the first final at the new Wembley stadium.

Although best his best, sorry to see him go. A fit Maurie is still one of the best impact players around.

It would be great if he can get to the playoffs and do some unfinished business with Ryan Bailey, that would be a great send off for all concerned.

I doubt it from what he said at a Forum, he said "its taking me 2-3 days to get over games now Im getting on in my career and Im unable to have an active part in my kids lives and thats possibly a sign I have to end it..."

Been great player and great to watch. Maurie at his best is all action.

I think over last few years we've lacked the roby and maurie impact off the bench.

He's not played well for 2yrs now and it's best he goes but been great for us.

I'll be sad to see him go. He's been a great character and an immense player for us. Good luck to him and his family.

He's been a tremendous asset for us in his stay here, the impact he has had can be judged by the unanimous well-wishes he has had since it's been announced. Suffered more injuries than I would have liked in the last couple of years but all the same, top player and a top bloke and I wish him well.

Actually one of my best memories of him, got up and congratulated lulu, as one professional to an other

Maurie hasn't done anything for a year or so. All I seem to remember is him getting constantly floored every time I saw him on my tv, I remember Thomas Leulai shoulder charging him to the floor once and haven't seen him really get back since.
