| Id sign him in a heartbeat. Quality player who would add a bit more creativity in the back row.

| I wonder if we have even thought about bringing him to saints?
If it's true we are under the cap then this is the level of class we should be looking to bring in and IMO just the type of player we need.
He's a good captain, leads his team and is a monster in defence!

| The last thing we need at Saints is a stand-off that is a bit of a nut job off the field, you know, in trouble with the law regulary and bringing the club into disrepu...oh wait a minute

| If he was available and we had the money, then absolutely.
I would rather us sign a top centre/winger with pace as we desperately need one, but I'd swap Flannery for Bird tomorrow if I had the chance.

Bird is a fantastic player,i would be very worried if the saints signed him and played him in Pryce's role,he was the best ball player in sl last season without a doubt,he will sign for the Gold Coast though

Yes they are but my dream is of Kyle turning into the next world class English player, not of signing yet another big name Aussie in a key position who will either keep Kyle on the bench, force him out of position or prompt him to sign for someone that'll give him a full game at half back week in week out.

Kyle is a scrumhalf and bird is either stand off or loose forward so he wouldn't keep Kyle out of team or out of postion.
We are crying out for a player like greg bird. He's a great leader and plays either 6 or 13 which we need.
I'd 100% have him at stand off or loose forward before anything we have.

They play in different spots so it wouldn't happen. And we can do with Pryce being replaced by someone who actually plays well in every match.

| My main concern is that our front row isn't quite there yet. You can have all the best ball players in the world but it means nothing if they've no pack to play behind. So in an ideal world I'd like Bird at Saints but in reality the cap space would be better spent on a monstrous prop who will let the creative and dangerous players we already have do their thing.

Bird is an extra prop, the man can smash players harder than most props do, he takes the ball up and in like a prop, no fear with this mucker what so ever.

I agree we are still short in the front row but I lost count of the times last year that we spent tackle after tackle camped out on other teams try line but failed to do anything with the ball.
