What a miserable lot some Saint fans are! This is a round of Superleague and gives supporters of teams, who never get to Cup finals, the chance to experience the big stadiums and the great feeling of meeting up with other supporters , in what is a great city.
But no, the moaners on this site are not going. Well, frankly, it is their loss.
P.S After the disgraceful comments of James Graham(the sulk....does he ever smile???).... prior to the last Magic Weekend, I hope that,if he does not want to play...he should tell the Saints coaching team and don't bother turning up. After his and Long's performance at Edinburgh...they should have returned their wages to the club.
Been to more big games than I can remember la..
Surely teams aspiring to Semi final's are bigger than Mcweekendofcrapyfixtures!
Why spend fortune to watch cr@py fixtures?
What ever next, expanding the playoffs to 12 teams!
Or even a mascot race!!
I enjoyed the derbies at Cardiff and I enjoyed a one-off trip to Edinburgh for it but there is a limit to the time and expense I am willing to spend on these things.
If they went back to the derbies format, I'd go but seven unappealing games, with probably about six of them one sided, and you have to draw the line with a £250 hole in my pocket and a bucketful of grief likely to be the only abiding memories.
Once again, the RFL shoot themselves in the foot. Like other posters, I am absolutely sure that this format will sound the death-knell for something that could have been really good.
I am interested by the thought of the last 16 of the Challenge Cup making up such a weekend but, again, you run the risk of a series of uncompetitive matches.
Derbies guaranteed interest for the neutrals even if it did dilute that special derby feel. Close matches and passion from the supporters involved makes for a significantly better occasion all round.
