I'll see what the weathers like and what the teams look like. If were playing fringe and reserve/academy players I might just give it a miss cos I dont fancy paying full price to watch a reserve game.

I think it'll be a mix of first/reserve/academy players.

The charge should be £10, and £5 for concessions. That to me would be reasonable.

£5 at the very most for waht will be a poor game between 2 sets of young lads who would rather be elsewhere.

Yes, but against Wigan? How many times are we going to play them next season then, with a friendly thrown in? It'll just kill off the whole derby thing if we play them four times again, which is possible with a friendly and if we both get to the playoffs.

A good dose of rugby will go down nicely, but why can't it be against someone other than Wigan. We've been playing them too often. We couldn't get anywhere near sellout for the playoffs.

Tradition?

What tradition? We played Widnes for our friendlies last time out and I think Anderson didn't do friendlies, did he? Not tradition anymore. Just yet another game against Wigan. I was looking forward to a friendly or two before the season starts but not another game against Wigan. We're overdoing it IMO.

If you say so! I haven't been around for 100 years (although sometimes I do feel like I have) but a Christmas derby between us and Wigan doesn't hold any interest for me at all these days. In the past they were proper derbies as part of the regular season. Nowadays it's just one more Wigan derby and we get enough of them in a season anyway. I'd much rather us have played a friendly against someone else.

As for who to play rather than Wigan: anyone but Leeds would do for me.

Here's an idea. Those who want to go, go. Those who don't, don't! The club will make a bit of money and everybody will be happy being either there or somewhere else!
