It was definitely, but Smith has show he can do well with a decent team round him, kyle hasn't had the opportunity yet. A big year for both players next year. |

Saints are a big-game team with bags of big-game experience. They have won five Challenge Cups from six final appearances in the Super League era and have won five Grand Finals in that time too.
Add two World Club Championships to that and you have the roll-call of the best rugby league team this country has produced in the modern-era - and it's a phenomenal record.

That could have been an anonymous post and I'd still have known it was you. Change the record, move on. Maybe he'll get his chance in 2011 if Kyle doesn't work out at 7. |

Because next season in Pryce and Eastmond we have two creative runners but if Im honest cannot see any of these two controlling a game when the team is on the back foot. Smith has a much better positional kicking game than both. It would be a mistake to dismiss smith now while eastmond is untested. Wigan and Long come to mind..... |

Smith will be at a team that actually have some expectations next year so it will be far more worthwhile having him at Salford than Celtic.

If that was the case, then Smith would be in the team now. Why would Saints send a player on loan and reward a player who will ultimately be lost? It wouldn't make much business sense.
If that rumour is true, it has nothing to do with Smith being sent on loan. Almost every player (Scott Moore being an exception) that gets sent out on loan ends up being sold. |
