I'm amazed at how there was no mention of the Warriors in the article that was linked to in the thread. It's as if RL doesn't exist at that stadium or indeed in Wigan. For all that we may be called scousers and other such insults ( ), at least we're still a rugby league town (if we're a sporting town at all, I mean) with soccer 12 miles up the road (assuming Everton don't park their ugly butts in Kirkby at any rate).

I guess this is an equivalent (for want of a better word) of Knowsley Road officially changing its name to the GPW Recruitment stadium. I don't think i've ever heard anyone call it that in regular conversation. Its still "Knowsley Road", "KR", "the s**thole" (all away fans, most home fans!) or "the ground" (anyone calling it "the stadium" needs their eyes and y'ed testing)
