There's way too many average players out there. From today, for me, only Makinson, Soliola, Walmsley and Turner deserve any credit. In general, we're nowhere near good enough!

Ah well. A gutsy performance, I think, but with the exception of 15 mins completely brainless. If we don't sign a half back mid-season then we can write this year off. Not that we didn't know that already.

Add Walmsley to that and I would agree. Tommy our MOM in my opinion, Turner tried really really hard (shoulder charge excepted), but sadly, except for Sia, there isn't a single experienced player worth a mention

Before everyone slags him off, I'll put in a shout for Wellens. He made one iffy defensive read but was otherwise excellent.

However, the other senior players with leadership responsibilities, particularly Wilkin and Hohaia, were embarrassing.

Hohaia was alright in attack, but a shambles in defence.

He put a good defensive shift in but he was a dead end in attack , as expected. I thought Wilkin apart from his stupid challenge on Dobson was just about the only creative spark we had which is very very sad

Okay, maybe an overstatement. But I thought Wilkin was dreadful in attack. Wrong options and passes going to ground everywhere. Hohaia was probably our best creative force but his defence was an absolute disaster.
