By the way, what high horse am I on. I haven't stated that Pryce should be banned. I was simply pointing out that all clubs have been under pressure to take action against drunken violent acts, and most so far this year have taken action. That is fact.

I didn't comment on the sentence handed to him though did I? I gave my opinion on him not on the sentence.

IN regards to a Saints Punishment for the player I think we should contact Leeds and Wigan to see what they did about their players. Why do we suddenly have to start banning players etc. Perhaps it's because he plays for Saints. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with what he did but why should the team and the fans be punished for his behaviour. A hefty fine from the club should be the order of the day.

If he can carry out his normal duties as a professional rugby league player, and complete his community service, he should be left to get on with it. If he cannot do both together ( i am assuming his service will be done in the community he offended in ie Bradford) the St Helens should deduct the proportionate amount from his wages, or release him to do it all now, not pay him at all, then bring him back on full pay.

To be fair, clubs have handled this sort of thing in different ways becuase each case is not the same. Cas sacked their lad who was involved with Cockayne because he is a second teamer who is no great loss to the club. Hull KR dealt with Cockayne differently as he is a first team squad member and it would be cutting their nose off to spite their face!

Ultimately, regardless of anything else, the primary business is winning rugby league matches and if one of your best players is a fool off the pitch and still wins matches on it, then it is difficult to get rid! also, I think a bit of humble pie, and a desire to put things right is a better way forward, rather than branding a person as "bad news" and allowing them no chance to better themselves. Leon needs to learn that some people will snipe at him, especially here in Wibsey, and be bigger than the To$$ers that try to wind him up. either that, or not cruise around the area being the big "I am"

Yes it can. It has done. He has been injured with a groin strain this season already and we managed. We can manage perfectly ok with one or two of our main players missing. I would imagine he is going to be missing at some point in order to serve out his sentence in Bradford? But I don't think the club should do anything else because his crime was minor and the sentence handed down by the court is perfectly sufficient.
