Wrong. Again. I do not "bag" injured players for being injured. Being realistic about Lomax's chances - bearing in mind his style of play - after two serious knee injuries isn't "bagging". My criticism of Flash bears no resemblance to your criticism of Mose. For a start - I'll be quite happy to praise Flash should his form improve (as I - and it - did at the end of last season).'"
In his defence Pete was the first to come out and praise Masoe the other week after a particularly good performance. (Can't remember who it was against).

| Quote Twentyman="Twentyman"Not all of our players can be SL stars such are the limitations of the salary cap. Flash does an honest, hardworking job. Like Dawson. Every club gets hammered with injuries and has to dip into their squad. Thankfully, we've got some good lads like Flash who can step in.'"
Saints let Dixon go and kept him. Big mistake IMO.

And where is Dixon now? If it was that much of a mistake, it would of come back to haunt us. The reality is flanagan, Dixon ashurst are all much of a muchness, and keeping one over the other is an irrelevance,
Greenwood in 5 games overtook all of them.

| Well looks like it's time to put the pop corn down.
Just as a matter of fact.
LMS
Vea out
Greenwood out
Wilkin out
Flash
So it could be argued that Flash is a 5th backrower and so who else can you play for this game?
It's not like we are picking him with a full backrow available

| To be honest, I'd prefer to give Mose more minutes and introduce another young three-quarter on the bench. With Lomax out for the season and backs dropping like nine-pins it's advisable to take the plunge sooner rather than later.
If Lomax is no longer viable at full-back we've either got to buy now for next season - or take the plunge with a junior now. It's no use promoting an academy lad during the run in when neither his interests nor ours are served.
We can't afford to wait and see on the full-back position - not least because all the best candidates will go in the next few months. Promoting next season just defers the acclimatisation process (which can take anywhere up to two or three years - depending on the age of the player) further down the line.

| Thinking on the topic for a moment, I don't see why we don't experiment with Mose from the start. Whilst I'm more than happy with our current strength in the forwards our pattern of play has largely been fixed since two thirds into last season.
We really don't want to become too rigid and - predictable. Teams watch the videos midweek and (sans injuries) know which of our players will be on the field at any particular juncture. A good coach can exploit predictable behaviour.
I'd much prefer our opponents being far less certain about who will be on the pitch and when. Besides, this takes a lot of the strain off guys like Amor who don't possess Mose's frame and are thus more likely to get knocked about when the big tackles go in early on.

| I get the impression that Cunningham is not happy with Masoe at all. The first sign of lazy play and he seems to be off the pitch for the rest of the half.

| If Mose's not pulling his weight I'm more concerned that Cunningham is continuing to pick him than anything else. We're not so hard up in the forwards that we have no choice but allow ourselves to be held hostage by anyone.
Either way - the amount of time Mose's spending on the pitch isn't currently doing us any favours. If his attitude is fine but he's under-performing than give him more game time. We know he can play extended periods. So why don't we?
If Mose's attitude isn't right then yank him out of the side. This is not a difficult problem to solve.
