| The organisation was all over the shop. At times it was like a queue for the bus, people stumbling over each other getting in the way of the ball player

Different team with SOL. They will be praying he's back soon and that his body can hold up for the season.

| I'm not particularly bothered about Good Friday. Sure, I want us to win. But putting maximum points on the board early gives us the freedom to cough up one or two games without any serious consequences.
The Wiganers should be fired up. Lord knows they can't afford to lose another game.
What we don't want to do is leave too much form at the start of the year.

If they cant get a win against Wakey next week they'll be in big trouble and your (world famous) envi-o-meter will be in danger of breaking.
I just hate it when we go into a game against them as big favourites

I agree , beating them[i is[/i important but picking up silverware far outweighs it. I think KC understands that but I'm not sure Wane does.

| Beating Wigan is everything. Dominate Wigan through a season and chances are you'll be there or there abouts for trophy success. The lift the team gets from turning them over is huge. Likewise, Wigan beating us can turn their season around.

| I think Wigan's problems are far more fundamental. I just can't understand this season's obsession with neglecting your front row in favour of strengthening your back division. Both Wigan & Leeds (to a lesser extent) seemed utterly fixated with touch rugby - pushing all of their attacking thrust down the channels (with maybe one or two half-hearted "forward" drives to reset the playbook).
It's ironic that precisely at the time when England boasts its finest collection of front rowers (in decades) - the English game seems to be giving up on the position of prop.
I mean, look at the utterly pathetic stats "Honest" Tony Clubb and Mossop turned in last night. I'd seriously consider quitting the sport if those figures were mine. And it's not as though Leeds' defence was a brick wall.

Not for me, beating Wigan to silverware is what really hurts them. At the end of the day history will judge teams , players and coaches by how may titles and trophies they've won not by how many times they got one over the local rivals. I cant argue beating the goons in a major final is the most satisfying feeling but I'd settle for beating Wakefield or Salford in the grand final tbh ... as long as we win I'n not that bothered
Wane suffers from this obsession with beating Saints and it will imo eventually form part of his undoing. As the coach he should be primarily focused on whats in front of him and his team and he should be making sure his players only think about who the are playing next .. instead he does a weird interview and starts prattling on about us when he should have been worried about Leeds.

You think they'd give him the boot? or wait till the end of the year to make a transition. Who would they put in charge in the short term ? Ginger?
