Well it must have been in the one academy game I missed last year, because he was ever present in the second row in all season long, playing 80 minutes in most, if not all, games. He's a good lad. |

I thought he'd played a few at prop this year as well, but i've just looked through all the reports from the u19s this year and he's named at second row in them all. |

He's moved to prop during games I meant sorry. Twice I've been there and he has moved to prop to cover someone going off. |

If Wellens' wages are stopping us from adding another forward to that squad, then that is annoying. Was made for him to retire after OT.

We have cap space, but for whatever reason we just aren't going for another forward. I think we could even afford the winger we were after (and he was on a lot!) but we decided it wasn't worth it (rightfully so)
Our lack of recruitment is by choice at this point, I can only hope it's because we have a plan for next year (keeping Walsh/ Masoe/ Jones) and targeting some of the quality available, as there's quite a few very good players available next year imo... |

Decent squad. We look better placed than last season I think in terms of depth looking at the numbers. Variables tho with a new head coach and attacking coach....
Just looking at other team's squads and the wolfs squad is the most competitive on paper.

Sounds like a more sensible option as we have no obvious gaps.
A lot of people on here want a prop but we have several young props that could come through and give us too many options in that area.
We could go after a back (a winger according to the St.Helens secret handshake society) but we have plenty of cover there too and our first choice line up is pretty settled.

It's a nice position to be in where we can move for someone during the season should we be hit by injuries in a particular position or some NRL star disgraces themselves and needs a club over here  |
