It was no secret that at the end of Browns contract Cunningham was earmarked for the job, but then of course Brown went early and this now is the talking point. If KC thinks he is ready he will get the job. If he doesn't then it's open to speculation as to who.

There have been no rumours of coaches flying in, or interviews. So you could read into that, that no one has been interviewed.

He coaches at Shevington Sharks. I think its under 16 level. A friend of mine son plays there.

I think it's come a little to early for KC if I'm being totally honest but the long term plan was for KC to take over so I guess McManus is going to risk it.

In a ideal world I think one more year under Brown would have been perfect but with the in-laws not in the best of health the time as come for KC to show us if he's got it.

Sadly, I agree. I don't think he will have any trouble motivating the players, and can see us starting next season like a house on fire. But I don't think he will have the experience to come up with a plan B or C when things are going wrong, like they have this year. Brown's strength has been his ability to change things round when the wheels were coming off, and they have certainly come off big time this year, but he somehow brought home the silverware. Coaches that can do that are few and far between, I think KC may be in the Wane mould of doing great when things are going ok, but being unable to respond to situations when they arise. Hopefully, I am completely wrong about this, but that sort of experience takes time to develop.

Exactly my thoughts but I've spoke to KC many times this year and he's got nothing but good words to say about Brown and how hard Brown works. He says he's the BEST coach he's worked under and his methods are second to none.

Brown had his knockers on here ( unreal IMO ) but anyone who knows someone at the club will tell you he's a top top coach and I hope this as rubbed off on KC.
