No doubt they were. But the Saints team that deservedly beat us the week before would have walloped you if they had tried. Don't kid yourselves that you are about to win Super League because you beat the top team.

The previous poster is correct. The fact that the top 5 teams are seperated by just 2 points shows that no-one is bothered by the league ladder. It's all about the playoffs and getting ready for them. The fact that Leeds can win it from 5th and Wigan from 4th proves that.

I just think that comments like yours and Rommel's are insulting to both sets of players, I am sure Saints never laid down and gave us the win, in fact if you had been there you might get your facts right, we deserved the win through good attacking play and excellent defence. Occasionally these results spring up, just give the winning side some credit for once and not look for excuses for why a top team lost.

I think the points he is trying to make is that Saints have a habit of switching off in games (as do alot of the top teams) looking at other bigger games to target during the season.

It's not the first time this season we've put in a big performance then backed it up with a very poor one, which as a Saints fan is frustrating to say the least.

I don't think anyone is saying Hull KR didn't deserve the win because they clearly were miles better than us, the scoreline is indicative of that. Certainly at home to us you seem to raise your game.

im not surprised Soliola, Manu and LMS had good stats, those 3 were your best players yesterday I thought. Some glimpses of Roby but we did a pretty good job on him. Mosoe smashed everything that moved but really needs to take the ball in more often.

Having been one of LMS biggest critics this year, fair play to him for being one of the only players to back up with a performance (by all accounts, I was listening on the radio).

As for the performance, with players as inconsistent and limited as Wilkin and lance as our halves we're always going to turn in some horror shows. Seeing them two faffing around must such some serious confidence from the side.

Will brown play Wheeler next week? HHe should after such an abhorrent halves showing.

Thing is though the problem was with Wilkin AND Lance but only Lance will be dropped so we will still have a problem, called Wilkin. Wilkin will never be dropped no matter what he does on the pitch.

Would rather see Charnock get a chance - ripping it up in the 19s by all accounts, has a kicking game, and is the future of our club, and needs game time to progress. Wheeler is out at the end of the year.

Lance and charnock could work quite well imo.

I'm not keen on blooding a noob at this time of year, injuries permitting obviously, but I'd like to see this kid given a go simply because so many people have been bigging him up (always a dangerous thing to do when it comes to young players!).

I've said same thing all year that only certain players get dropped when others have been stinking the place out nearly all year.

I agree, it's a silly time of year to be blooding youngsters (which is why I was calling for him to play vs London last time!) but I'd of called for him to play at London anyway, and the dire performance this week just brings the point forward - something's got to change from last week!

Seems to dictate the u19s in a similar way to Walsh with us, always gets multiple mentions in reports etc - I'm surprised he wasn't picked to play vs widnes

We can get away with lance at 6 when Walsh is playing but we can't when Walsh is out. We are back to square one when Walsh doesn't play and that's why stand off is priority.
