a culture change and a move from St.Helens might be what he needs. There's a quality player in there somewhere

| Seeing how the broken arm/wrist has either miraculously recovered in a week or never was !
Does anybody feel Wheeler should be given a go at centre - he did well there when Percival was out - and for me Turner has offered nothing all year and is lucky to keep his spot

| I know Gaz and I know he would love to Stay at saints but IMHO opinion I think a change of club is what he needs.
I also think it's pretty hard for us to give him a new deal with his injury record and the fact he's never really done it on the field.
If he goes, I hope he goes on and becomes the player we all thought he'd be.

No.
Turner is a good player who gets it in the neck by fans because he isn't Jamie Lyon. The Turner Makinson partnership is very successful for us, and only gets better the more they play together. Turner is a bit inconsistent sure, but so is wheeler (even more so) and wheeler has been given every chance under the sun.
Wheeler is 4th choice centre behind turner (who is rightfully first choice imo) Percival (whose in great form) and Jones - he shouldn't be handed an opportunity above them just because everyone is willing him to finally break a habit of a life time and kick on and cement a first team place.

Turner gets in the neck because of his poor attitude and how soft he can be at times. He's admitted twice in the media this year he's not been up to scratch and his atitdue needs to improve.
He also gets it in the neck because most fans know he's got some ability and plays nowhere near what he should. He's a decent centre but I'd have no problem in saints letting him go. He frustrates the hell out of me with his soft as sh*t playing style.
Obviously he's had a kick up the bum as he's trying much harder but it won't be long until he's back with the soft can't be bothered attitude.

Maybe not body wise but playing wise he is. Without being sexiest, Turner plays the game like a girl at times.

| Agree with Pete that Turner plays soft. It was noticeable at the Cas game that he was running twice as hard as he had been recently, hopefully he's one of the players Brown has targeted for a "man up" chat.

That was sexist. Clearly you haven't watched girls play rugby league.
The whole team has had a bad attitude at times this season. Turner is a better player at centre than is Wheeler. I'm frankly weary of hearing about Wheeler. He has had one good game this season: the first, at Warrington. Since then he's either been injured, dropped or poor. I would much rather us let him go and free up the salary for an up and coming young guy to be promoted. It's a shame that Wheeler's body can't take the knocks but that's not a reason to keep carrying him.

He is one of the players that's had a quite word in his ear. I think it's pretty poor that a full time pro rugby player has to have a word in his ear to actually play with some purpose.
That's the measure of the guy and why we have fallen short against the big teams this year as sadly we have a few players with that attitude.

Perhaps if he gave his all off the pitch as well then he'd be more likely to be able to give his all on the pitch more often.

I thought he had a decent physical game against the Goons last week, he's very similar to LMS he can put in a good shift if he sets his mind to it.
