one in the first half was terrible. we had a 3 man overlap on the last tackel, all of whom would have scored but he chose to drive it in himself.

He is now in his 3rd season and you can count his good games on 1 hand, and his pieces of individual brilliance on less than 1 finger

People on other threads are talking about Masoe being an overpaid holiday maker, but Lance (our marquee signing) probably earns twice as much as him.

I don't need to spin it at all - he did indeed lay on a try, which makes his conversion rate of blatant opportunities very poor.

I want to see him making the right decisions under pressure (which he has failed to do in the past). The fact he can't make those decisions in what was effectively a training session worries me.



I'm not forgetting it, it was a decent chip kick and I gave him credit for it at the time. Problem is that it's not about one or two moments every half a season, it's about making the basic decisions and making them correctly more often than not, which he doesn't do.



I agree that Walsh needs a settled partner by Septemeber, but if there is any blessing in being out of the cup it's that we have the opportunity to really try to work out who that someone is - it is far from clear that it should be Lance, but it may well be.

What I am advocating is using this dead space in the season to see if Lance is the answer. Lance could put together a string of good games and claim the shirt (which we would all be happy to see). Or he could continue to make schoolboy decisions that butcher opportunities and find himself under (legitimate) pressure.

Better than Walsh and turner.

I'd go Charnock, allowing Lance to rotate at hooker.
Then I'd go Hohaia
Then I'd go Wilkin
Then I'd go Wellens
Then I'd go Lomax

But, to reiterate, the most important thing is that he picks someone and sticks.

I don't like lance as a six.

However. Wheeler is just never fit. So lance is our best six. He should play every week. If turner needs a new position let him come on at nine and allow roby. Ten minutes each half.

That thought is intriguing and horrifying in equal measure!

Lance has been pretty good this year. No matter what he does some fans won't take to him.

He is worse than Lance these days for picking and choosing when he can be bothered to turn up.

I'm afraid you're right, some supporters strangely forget mistakes other players make. Hohaia is one of a few players who does seem to try and read a game rather than running around blindly.

I'd rather have Johnny Wellies at 6 than Turner.
